At Finnigan's
WHO: Justin and Zacharias- Open should you want to have a piece of Justin.
WHEN: Tuesday, September 16th, in the afternoon
WHERE: Finnigan's
WHAT: A random encounter.
RATING: PG
STATUS: Ongoing/open

Justin looked at his bowl and smiled. It seemed like this was a good day for food at Finnigan's and it made Justin happy. He didn't want to have to walk out without having eaten anything since he was working that night. He hadn't needed to go back to the Janus Thickey Ward this week and he was relieved to be back in the emergency room. He had an immense respect for everyone who worked on that Ward, but sheesh Justin couldn't do it himself.

Justin nodded at Zacharias and smiled at him before he looked through his bag and took a book out, setting it on the table to read while he was eating. It was such a guilty pleasure for Justin to pick one of the many romance novels on the shelves and read it to relax.

He opened the book and settled nicely with his food on one hand and the reading material in the other. Ah man, his parents would be mad at him if they saw him.. After a while, he was unfortunately easily distracted and his glance landed on Seamus.

It took him a few minutes to realize he was staring and brought his attention back to his book.

Movement caught Zacharias's eye, and he glanced over toward Justin. So that was one of the sources of the romance novels. He was rather positive they couldn't all be coming from and going to just one person, but he wasn't sure how he felt about having both a name and a face to associate with those novels. There was nothing wrong with a romance novel, of course; it just wasn't a genre Zacharias preferred. But if someone else enjoyed heaving bosoms and quivering members, well, good for that person. And good for that person not being ashamed of it, either.

When he caught Justin staring at Seamus, he looked briefly between the two before wondering if every bloke in the wizarding world was gay or if it were a Hufflepuff thing. He could have sworn Ernie had mentioned something about it, and Susan had mentioned setting her brother up with a bloke. And if other things he had seen and heard could be believed, the entire bloody world was gay. And that just didn't make any sense because, somehow, little wizarding babies kept being born. But maybe it wasn't the whole world; maybe it was just his generation. Or his imagination. Maybe he'd just not noticed some things before, and, because he'd been more recently enlightened about them, he suddenly saw it everywhere as if it had just popped up and were taking over instead of being just there. Kind of like a song on the radio that you don't like or when you first notice a trend that's been around awhile, but because you hadn't seen it before and now knew what it looked like, it appeared to be everywhere. Or maybe everyone really was gay. It would certainly explain some of the isolation he'd felt in school.

The server arrived with his food, and he looked up. "Thank you," he said politely, giving a small smile, waiting for the server to leave before setting down his book. He put a napkin on his lap and took hold of his fork, silently bracing himself. If the food wasn't good, that was it; he'd leave. He'd excuse himself to the bathroom, then make his escape then. Simple and easy. He might even be courteous enough to leave a note behind stating how horrid the food was. He put a bit of food on his fork, blew on it to cool it down, and tentatively put it in his mouth.

Zacharias sighed as he discovered the food did not taste like complete and total crap. It was edible. He swallowed the bite, then shuffled his book and fork around to hold one in one hand and the other in the other. He took up another forkful, blew on it again, and ate, resuming his place in his story.
