Journal - Just as advertised
If anyone ever wondered watching paint dry is as fucking boring as advertised. Believe me I'm a professional. Even when you're really invested in how it'll turn out. Normally I'd work on something else but I'm too nervous about this trial piece and I already did something I'll have to paint over this morning.

Please tell me I'm working at the pub today, or you can find me something to do there so I don't have to be here. I tidied up my studio already and the communal store room is fine.

Otherwise I'm going to spend three hours in Susan's pool turning into a shrivelfig and still end up with half a day to fill. I don't even have a book to distract me that isn't about art and I really cannot be arsed to go shopping.

Yes, yes, whiny and pathetic with my dream job. I'm aware. But there's only so much busywork I can make.

	I know. I know, but I'm not sure I totally have it in me to just hang around. I need to distract myself. I managed fine all weekend, but this thing needs another day before I can do the next stage and I'm going out of my mind. 	I have all day, all your chores can't take a whole day. We can hang out still. Yeah. I won't be sure until it's done and I've done all the final spellwork, but no disasters so far. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	I've painted nails for my sisters. That goes significantly faster. Believe me. It's just convenient the first two days of drying were over the weekend. And yes it has, thanks. I decamped to the pub before I could cause chaos in my own studio. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Thanks for the offer, I gave up hanging around the studio and went to the pub. Seamus has let me serve so I can keep myself busy. The only thing that lay ahead of me if I stayed was making a mess of other pieces that are full-size. Drying will be done tomorrow. I'll be back then. (Reply to this) (Parent)
