Hermione's usual Saturday night attire was obviously not good enough for Charlie's club. That was one reason she usually chose to stay home or simply make her way to Finnigan's. She knew she had the ability to look ravishing in anything she chose to wear as long as it fit her body type. Still, she didn't really care to take the time to get all gussied up on a regular basis. There were those special occasions when she did so, but they were few and far between. Besides, Hermione knew where she wanted to be most nights and that was sitting with Ron enjoying his company where they didn't have to shout at each other over obnoxiously loud music.

Why Ginny insisted she knock some sense into Ron was puzzling. They hadn't had any rows lately. True enough they'd both been busy at work and barely had time to do more than brush up against each other when passing in and out of the flat. Still, he loved her just the way she was, untamed hair and all. Grabbing her solitary pair of black heels she called out from the door of her room that she was going to Ginny's before popping over.

Ginny wanted Ron to get it into gear so Hermione could be her sister already. Sister-in-law, technically, but those were pedantic details. He clearly needed to know what he was missing out on.

Hermione wasn't the sort to wear something too scandalous, and she'd probably insist on her terrible, work-appropriate heels, so Ginny's dress options were limited by that. She did own a stunning pair of gold sandals - maybe she could reduce the heel a little bit so Hermione would be more comfortable.

She tossed those on the 'keep' pile, along with two dresses. Then, while she waited for Hermione to pop over, she looked about the room for some shoes that would go with the black dress - Hermione couldn't wear plain black heels and the dress she'd picked out. She heard the pop of Apparation and called out, "In the bedroom, looking for better shoes - if you see Seeker, grab her so Bob can roam about the place without fear while we're out." It would never stop amusing her at how terrified Bob the Dog was of a tiny cat.

Hermione enjoyed every aspect of her life these days. No one was trying to kill her best friends and she hadn't heard the slur mudblood used against her in years. Everything was trekking along smoothly from her view point. She had moved up to senior research assistant and finally procured enough information that she could begin drafting what she was certain could be an effective piece of legislation toward the goal of house elf rights.

One result of her drive to pass and enforce potential laws was her propensity to dress sensibly with very little flare. Hermione wanted people to take her seriously and she'd never seen a man who took the thoughts of a woman who flaunted her body seriously. Surely though it couldn't hurt to do so for just one night, even if it wasn't something she thought necessary.

Settling in from the swirl in her brain that continued to linger in her brain even after all these years Hermione answered Ginny in the affirmative as she took a quick glance around. "She must not have appreciated my sudden appearance," Hermione announced herself as she entered Ginny's room holding nothing besides her shoes.

	Hermione twirled in front of the mirror. It wasn't something she did often but she wanted to get the full effect. Ginny had done a wonderful job helping her find something a little less than professional but still within good tastes. "To Wingbeat then?" she turned with a smile hoping that she would turn Ron's head more so than normal. (Reply to this) (Parent)
