Come upstairs...
Who: Seamus and Dean
What: Tipsy Seamus wants to have dinner with his best mate
Where: Finnigan's / Seamus's Flat
When: Friday 29th May, evening
Rating: SFW for now. There might be language later.

Seamus couldn't put his finger on what was wrong. Victis Honor Day was over, he was healthy (on his mam's orders, he'd even been to a Healer to make sure), the pub was running smoothly. For all that, though, something was definitely off with Seamus's world. It was like he'd accidentally pissed someone off, but he didn't know who or how.

He tried to ignore it as he worked. He'd taken over The Roost for Friday afternoon, trying out new cocktail recipes. Some were from Marietta's book that he'd borrowed, others were more or less his own invention, albeit inspired by combinations he knew worked. His tastes had matured over the years and he'd somehow gone from hating marzipan and all similar products to grudgingly accepting that he liked them now. He'd discovered that amaretto went really well with fruit juices of all kinds, and was experimenting while seated on the floor, bottles spread around him in every direction.

He'd been at it for a few hours and though he wasn't finishing the cocktails he made (unless they were really good), he was starting to feel the effects. When he laughed for five minutes over accidentally making the 'Hawaiian Volcano' upside down (with the red on top of the yellow, instead of vice versa) he decided it was about time he gave up for the night. He stood, the world wobbling around him as the alcohol in his system finally soaked through. It took a lot longer than it should have to tidy everything away, and when he was done he headed downstairs in search of food and Dean.

He had no particular reason to believe Dean would be in the pub, except that he seemed to have been there most nights this week - just hanging out, sketching or people-watching while Seamus worked. A somewhat unstable search eventually turned Dean up at a table in the corner. "Deano!" Seamus didn't know whether to hug Dean or sit down - so he tried to do both, and nearly missed the chair in the process. "Whoops. Hi! I'm hungry."

Seamus was still awake, just, and he nodded - hands dropping to open the button of his jeans and push them down. They tangled against his shoes and he had to kick his feet against the side of the bed to dislodge the lot. In t-shirt, boxers and socks he wriggled his way under the covers and situated his head on the pillow properly. A tiny part of him wanted to throw the blankets back and demand Dean stay, give him something to cuddle, but Dean obviously didn't want to, and Seamus wasn't going to make him.

Instead, he tugged the second pillow down from under his head to wrap his arms around it and squeeze it against his chest. "There," he murmured. "M'tucked." He blinked his eyes open to smile at Dean. "Thanks."

Dean had been about to step in and help yank Seamus' shoes off when they finally dislodged themselves. He wasn't really eyeing Seamus up, despite the fact he was stripping his clothes off. Honestly this was more like a moment of friendship from the past. Or something akin to familial affection.

Smiling down at Seamus he reached over and stroked his hand through Seamus' hair one last time. "Yes you are, sleep well," he said and ducked back out of Seamus' room to pick up his bag and leave with a pop of apparition.
