RP: Dinner!
Who: Susan, Dean, Eddie, Ernie, Hannah, Justin, Megan, Rolf, Rose and Seamus.

Where: Susan's flat

When: Friday 5th September, 7pm

Rating: SFW

To say that Susan had had an interesting day was perhaps one of the greatest understatements since 'Hey, if we point sticks at one another our magic is scarier!' Her day had been equal parts annoying, awesome, and confusing, and the prospect of having her friends around for dinner had been one of the things that had kept her powering through her sleep deprived state. The brandy and wine at Rose's had helped too. Still, she had just enough time after seeing Rose to rush to the supermarket and buy panic buy enough products to feed a Quidditch match.

Two hours later: her kitchen smelled amazing, and she'd managed enough just enough downtime to slip into a cute little dress. She was just vaguely wondering where all the people were when the doorbell rang, and the first of her guests arrived.

While Megan was late, she had a good reason. She and Darby had had a row. In fact, it was a pretty epic fight, considering they often avoided talking instead of fighting. The reason why was obvious-Megan was going out again and leaving him behind to his own devices. He had needs too! Or so he had shouted, and Megan had cried and ruined her make up and had to fix it, and then it took her a while before she was ready to go to Susan. Megan tried not to think about the look on Darby's face. When had they turned this corner? For a long while, she thought it was just her that was unhappy, but it was clear Darby didn't like it any more than she did. What were they really even holding on to, anyway?

But now was not the time to dwell on it. She had promised Susan she would stop by the party and she didn't want to disappoint her friend. Bottle of wine in tow, though her eyes were still a little red rimmed, Megan knocked on her friend's flat ready to forget about the row and all it represented. "Hallo, Susan! It's Meg, I hope I'm not TOO late!"

Susan heard the door knock, followed by the sound of Megan's voice. Smiling to herself, she hurried down the stairs and hall and flung open the front door. "Hi lovely," she said enthusiastically, before he smile faltered at her friend's red-rimmed eyes and sad smile. "Oh my darling, what's wrong? Come inside and tell me all about it."

Susan answered the door, and Megan was grateful it had been her and not one of the boys that had let her in. Susan caught the look on her face and Megan waved her away, giving her a watery smile. "I'm fine, so fine, it smells lovely sorry I'm late, such a silly thing!" she said, giving Susan a hug and trying to wave it away and make sure her red rimmed eyes weren't so noticeable.

"You would just laugh, that's how stupid it is, it's really nothing at all, I'm just glad to be here," Megan said again.

Susan lifted her eyebrows, but otherwise said nothing as she led the other woman down the hall and up the stairs. She would have had to be blind and deaf, or as unobservant as a man to notice that Megan wasn't happy in her marriage, and hadn't been for a long time. However she didn't want to upset her, so she smiled instead. "Well, as long as you're okay."

"I'm glad you're here too," she added, guiding her into the sitting room.
