Journal: Alicia Spinnet
What a day! And it’s not even over yet.

I want to thank all of you who made this morning run smoothly, for getting the students safely to the train and sent off with a proper wave. There will be a suitable gesture of gratitude later (a dinner, perhaps, or a different sort of social gathering? Ideas are welcome), but for today and tonight, I’ve asked Seamus to open a tab for you to have a well-deserved drink or three.

Thank you!

So the reward for taking children is a drink from you?

Mixed messages, Ms. Spinnet.

They weren't taking children, they were escorting them to the train station.

Having your volunteers gather for a drink or two after a job well done... no, I don't think there are any mixed messages there. The children, after all, are well on their way to Scotland, thanks in large parts to those who helped out.

So you say, personally I'm still scandalized.

i'm just saying, rewards for running off with children is probably not a good precedent to set.

I never thought I'd see the day where you were clutching your pearls, Eddie.

I will definitely keep that in mind, however, as all of the children were reported present, I can only assume that none of our volunteers ran off with any children not belonging to themselves. So really, the drinks are a reward for good behaviour.

I'm a delicate flower, what can I say?

Hmm...well, if you say so. You should reward me with one because you love me.

Of course you are. Don't forget to refill that locket around your neck with smelling salt, dear.

With a child? I love you and all, but I already have two.

How about a drink instead?

Thank you, Mr. Zabini, I will keep hat in mind. I'm thinking an event for everyone who's volunteered through the year, and I will certainly get back to you on that.

Private to Blaise:
And ideas for said event is always welcome, especially since you're making the manor available for us.

Also, I received and Owl from Thomas, who wanted to say thank for the exhillarating experience of riding the Knight Bus. He enjoyed it very much, and I promised to pass those thanks on to you.

Whatever you decide is fine with me. Just let me know if/when you want to use it.

If he would like to use it to travel on break as well I will gladly fund his trips.

Of course, and thank you again.

I will pass that on to him; I'm sure he would love that.

I am well aware that this is none of my business, however you have been on my mind lately
