Tonight, Finbar was the one who was early. Not insanely early, but just early enough to make it clear that he really did want to do this and his cancelling out the last time had been the last thing he wanted to do. Life had been hectic since then, to say the least, but for now it appeared to have calmed down considerably, and with Cho having an evening off? Well, things were working out now. Hopefully.

Dressed casually under his dark woollen coat, he leaned back against the wall next to the colourful display of delicious looking cakes and treats in Sweet Nothings’ window. Maybe next time he’d ask the blond witch that Wood was dating to prepare some of Cho’s favourites and then go somewhere a bit more private than Finnigan’s. But, no, tonight a glass of in a down-to-earth place was a good place to start. Again.

“Hi, Gorgeous,” Finbar smiled, looking and feeling even more relaxed now that Cho was here. If – and that was a pretty big ‘if’ – he had any hesitations about anything, it would have been that Cho might have been the type of girl who would have stood him up tonight, for the sole reason of proving that she wasn’t buying his excuses for what had happened the last time. But it turned out he had been right about her, because here she was, looking gorgeous even after a day at the office, which he was beginning to think was her default state.

“Long day?” he asked, holding out his hand to her as he pushed off from the wall and came to greet her with a kiss on the cheek.

Cho blushed lightly at his greeting. She'd never been shy about her looks - in school, she'd been downright prideful about them - but the way the word rolled off the tongue of a man as good looking and eligible (other than the whole married bit) made her feel like maybe she had something to live up to.

Letting him take her hand with a smile, she shook her head, "Normally I'm at the office by 8 or so and then off to my events by 4 at the latest, and those last all night, so this is like taking a half day for me, and a wonderful treat at that. What about you?" Cho wanted to tell him she'd been surprised and excited that he'd actually wanted to make that raincheck happen - sure, he'd kissed her (and the thought of that kiss still warmed her up) - but she hadn't been sure if he'd been... genuine just yet. His meeting up with her now, like this, eased her mind quite a bit.
