Who: Lavender Brown, open

What: Duelling club/drinks

Where: Finnigan's

When: Tuesday evening

Rating: SFW?

While writing a reminder that Duelling Club would be taking a two-week break over the festive period, Lavender had come over all nostalgic. Things had gone well with the club over the last twelve months and she was insanely proud of everyone, especially those who had come on leaps and bounds or who had realised that they might have something of an aptitude for teaching. There were added social benefits to the club, too, as she had discovered to her pleasure.

So the plan tonight was a bit of friendly duelling, no new techniques or anything like that, and then a chance for a drink or two in the bar.

Harry had been working pretty much nonstop for the last six weeks, working a case that had been both frustrating and horrifying. He'd finally closed it the week before, but the aftermath was looking to be as drawn out as the active casework had been. He'd left a stack of paperwork on his desk, but it could be completed tomorrow. He'd spent enough overtime hours at the office that one night off wouldn't hurt anything. Savage had already asked him if he planned on moving into the place, no one would argue that a night off would do him good.

And he was looking forward to tonight, more than he'd realized when he'd decided to attend. One would think he'd have enough of spells flying at his head after the month he'd had, but dueling club was fun and low pressure, and the promise of drinks after had sealed the deal. It was just what he needed.
