Finnigan's OOC

Hello everyone! I'm Sarah, and I previously played here and then life ate me and I had to go away for a while :( I actually didn't write at all for like 4 months and it was awful. But my life is looking better and I have actual days off work, so I'm excited to get back into the swing of writing. For those that don't know me, I'm a high school teacher/Speech & Debate coach in CA (so PST) and I love plotting on AIM (oliverwoodwood-hit me up any time!).

I'm bringing back this gentleman right here. Eddie Carmichael is a Ravenclaw '97, and a cursebreaker from Gringott's. He's a very annoying combination of blase about life and then super passionate about the specific things he enjoys. He's excitable, curious and a generally fun person to have around, if a little frustrating at times. Like his tendency to not be able to deal with emotions and run away from commitment, which is actually just what he returned from doing. Last he was here, he started an intense fling with Susan Bones, realized he had feelings for her, and promptly volunteered for the next overseas mission...and the next. He realizes that he probably messed things up forever with her, but now he's back, helping finish the mission at Gringotts and assisting with the training of the latest round of cursebreakers (including his friend Rose who he is sure will give him an earful). Hello hello, happy Victis Honor weekend. Brainstorming with Mercy and Caroline yesterday, I came up with a new game mechanic I'd like to implement. If you've read this post you might have an inkling of what it is, but to sum up:

- Dominic and Seamus have made a new Battlescars journal. It will be out at all future meetings for anyone to read or write in.
- So far it contains the written submissions Seamus has collected for Victis Honor day (at time of writing that's 2 NPC entries and one from Tristan, but feel free to go add more to that post!).
- Battlescars members who have personal journals will also be able to sign a (more permanent) confidentiality agreement that gives them access to the Battlescars journal through their own journal (kind of like an IJ community).
- Anyone who does this will then be able to post to the Battlescars journal anonymously or otherwise, and other members will be able to comment - also anonymously or otherwise.

In practical game terms, what that means is this:

- You may now post (anonymous or not) entries which will only be seen by other Battlescars members. Please title these with 'Battlescars Journal: Anonymous' or 'Battlescars Journal: CharacterName'.
- These entries will count for activity, so please tag them with your character's journal tag even if they're anonymous. Please also tag them with the new 'journal: battlescars' tag.
- I would prefer if characters commenting do so logged in, rather than on IJ's anonymous setting, just so I can be sure all comments are from current members. If they are commenting 'anonymously' just say so in the journal title.

I hope that all makes sense! If not, question away and I'll try to explain better.

Hello everyone. I went camping this weekend and came home completely mentally and physically exhausted. I will play catchup tomorrow to the best of my ability as I am about to watch Game of Thrones then go to bed.

Mini hiatus notice from me! I'm off to Prague for a few days, so from Monday-Friday most of my internet access will be phone only, which obviously isn't the greatest option for tagging. But I may be around here and there, we'll see.
