Not even his most devoted followers know where he went, but in the absence of their leader, the Death Eater movement gradually fell apart, and the wizarding world found itself in an uneasy truce. The horror of the war has not been forgotten, but few still believe that the Dark Lord will return. Now it's the spring of 1998. Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom, the children of prophecy who might be able to defeat Voldemort once and for all, are about to leave Hogwarts, along with their peers - but they are Chosen Ones unmarked by grief and almost untouched by trial. Thanks to the anticlimax of the first war, the wizarding world is unprepared for a jarring end to their eighteen years of peace. But soon enough, the Dark Marks will burn again... Incarnate. [03 May 2009|10:53pm] It is the nature of life to cycle. All things go in circles, from the helplessness of infancy to the helplessness of old age, from the role of daughter to mother, son to father. Human events cycle through peace and war over and over again. Hearts are broken and won by turns. Civilizations swell and then recede like tides through human history. Life continues. Stories, too, cycle. The strongest stories begin with people, who tell them to their children and their grandchildren. Sometimes stories are treasured over wealth, even worshiped as lifelines against the turning confusion of chance. Stories found societies and anchor families. They teach both young and old the value of life. They drive culture and reflect change. They also live. People today cling to the real. They worship their own ambition and dismiss the stories of old as dusty, irrelevant pictures of times that no longer matter. Our world is not a world of stories, but a world of cheaply painted scenery and cardboard cutouts of heroes. No one has time for stories anymore. Yet some people who live today are much more than real. They are a generation of stories incarnate, gods and legends, fables and folklore. In these gray days of reality they find themselves unable to ignore their pasts, blessed or cursed with abilities and attributes impossible to explain in cold modernity. They are beginning to discover tangible relics of the past, items that still hold power even now. [03 May 2009|11:29pm] Rules - Available Characters - Application - Played By's Tired of those games that are purely meant for shipping purposes and barely focus on the events of the first war? We are, and that is exactly why we have created Waddiwasi. Tidbits of information is all we have been given, tiny nuances to sustain us, but what about the fine details? What really happened during the First War when You-Know-Who was at his peak and the Wizarding World was barely staying above water? The individual stories of those during that time and the conflicts they had were never written, but they certainly existed. Students just out of Hogwarts viewed the world with endless possibilities; some acquired jobs, found a place to live, settled down and had a family, while others made their parents proud, took the Dark Mark, and joined an organisation which promised to restore the wizarding world to its former glory. So join us and let's write their history, a complete history, of the events that happened that affected the fate of the wizarding world forever.
