The second Great War has been over in the United Kingdom for ten years and even though the battle between Harry Potter and the Dark Lord Voldemort is an important part of any American wizard's History of Magic class, it is not given much thought beyond that. Yes, blood purism is wrong; yes, there will always be bigots out there; hey- isn't there a quodpot match this afternoon? While the wizarding youth of America are more worried about pimples and passing their classes, their parents are keeping a concerned ear turned to the news that a group of well-respected muggles are claiming to now possess magical powers. These aren't the typical muggle who believes they are magically inclined- these are CEOs, politicians and community leaders. Is this all a hoax, are these people really developing latent magical abilities, or is someone else pulling their strings? This is Pacific Coast Academy, one of the four most prestigious wizarding academies in the United States. The new term is just around the corner. Instead, Lord Voldemort found himself face to face with Albus Dumbledore when he arrived at the village. Lord Voldemort, refusing to lose, lashed out with a violent curse that severely wounded both himself and Dumbledore. But when the attack did not kill the older wizard, the weakened Dark Lord ordered a mysterious lurker to finish off Dumbledore. With Albus Dumbledore gone, the Wizarding World waited with baited breath for Lord Voldemort to rise to power. Months passed and there was no sign of the Dark Lord's return. Rumors of his death spread like a wildfire and many attempted to gain back what they had lost to fear. Only the Order of the Phoenix remained suspicious and vigilant. 1983 Many have started to regain the lost normalcy in their lives. Nevertheless, unbeknownst to the peace-seeking Wizarding World, a devious plot has been set into motion; one that will tear down the foundation of Wizardry and bring about the second war. Who will they turn to to keep their numbers strong and present a united front? time_between is a post Eclipse, complaint game, focusing on writing an alternate ending to the events that happened after the third novel in Stephanie Meyer's saga Twilight. A stable core of players have dedicated themselves to making this an active, exciting game with a lot of plot for all characters, and not just certain groups of species. Game Background It's 2003 and the Wizarding World has come a long way since the Final Battle. Death Eaters have been tried and dealt with fairly under the watchful eye of the new Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt and a reformed Wizengamot. Diagon Alley and Hogwarts have been rebuilt. Slowly the magical community has rebuilt and healed from the destruction of Voldemort's reign. Most characters make their home within Diagon Alley as new flats and residences have opened their doors. Much like real life the characters must react to current events as well as manage their personal relationships. Our hope is that through these small, short-lived plots players will take the opportunity to develop their characters and relationships with other players. We also encourage small group plots, such as book clubs, bowling leagues and writer's circles among many others. Charing Cross has a small group of dedicated, talented creative writers who are hopeful for new friends. We're looking for equally dedicated writers who want to experience a slightly different RPG experience. The mods are friendly and easy-going and encourage player input. We're looking for players who bring something slightly different to the table as well, with fresh, exciting characters. There are plenty of interactive experiences just waiting to happen, so give us a chance and we think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
