Dumbledore is dead, Voldemort is at large, and the Ministry of Magic is clueless. Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger understand that the fate of the wizarding world is in their hands. With Dumbledore's advice to Harry as a guide, the trio rushes from place to place in search of those ever-important horcruxes, the fragments of the Dark Lord's soul. After the attack on Hogwarts and the night of Albus Dumbledore's death, it would be easy to assume that Hogwarts would close and the students would be sent home to their worried families.

However...

The Ministry has issued a large order of Aurors and new wards to protect Hogwarts under the assumption that the students would have a better chance of safety with these new measures than they would at their own homes. They have also ordered that the students, along with any of their family members who wish to be with them, be contained in the castle with its heightened security. As can be expected, not many students are happy with being held at Hogwarts for their summer, and not many parents are holding much enthusiasm for the arrangement themselves. The Ministry has made sure that no one has a choice, besides those who ask to be put there along with the students. It is up for debate whether or not this was a good move for the ministry to make. Will the students really be safer, or will gathering them together make it easier for Voldemort to eradicate them all at once?

[UNHAPPILY EVER...?]

The war ended and all was well. Harry Potter defeated the Dark Lord. Everything was practically perfect in every way.

Unless you were the rest of the wizarding world that is...

Tired of games where everyone is happy and perfect? Where the love songs resonate from the trees and no one ever loses their job? Want a game where you can throw a drink in your cheating husband's face and then find out about your long lost sister, Hannah Abbott? Where maybe things aren't quite as safe as you would have thought and there's some villains waiting in the wings talking in funny accents? Welcome to Unhappily Ever...

Part Harry Potter Game, part English Language Telenovella, Unhappily Ever is set in a Post Deathly Hallows world where all is not well for the average person. Real life has bumps and wrinkles - and sometimes those are much more fun than the fairy tale! Whether you're Always a Bridesmaid and Never a Bride or The Jerk with the Big Mouth and the Small Package, Unhappily Ever tells the story of the characters in the Harry Potter books rebuilding their lives and trying to make sense of the world as they hit their late twenties and early thirties. Set in 2009, Unhappily Ever After is looking for strong writers who want a social game but miss the good old days where threading was commonplace. How do you fit in to the not your average Fairy Tale?
