Hell hadn't frozen over but Eliot knew dehydration killed you just as dead as bullets and cardiac arrest and while it may kill slower he was going to try to avoid any possible death bys that he could. The fact that he could at least pretend he could hold the glass by his lonesome was enough that he could swallow his pride. Though he honestly would have rather not have Buffy seen the effort. In a way it was because it was just some random mildly attractive nurse and not Buffy or anyone he knew or cared about that he'd done it in the first place.
He let the nurse take the glass away. "Thank you. Leave it on the table will ya darlin'?" He asked with his ever so charming smile. "I'll be alright, got my friend here ta let you know if I need ya. Gotta assure her I aint diein' anytime soon." Yep deafinantly turning on the charm and by the nurse's expression she was human enough to be effected by the Eliot Spencer smile. She nodded and with a muttered 'I'll be on call' she left the room.
Eliot's expression changed slightly as he turned to Buffy, familiarity softening the look in his eyes and the corners of his smile. He wasn't trying to charm her or anyone anymore, just happy to see his friend. "Like I was gonna die?" He finished her statmennt, and possibly answered her question on how he was feeling.
"Cardiac arrest, collapsed lung. Few minutes wasn't sure what the hell was goin' on but I think 'm okay now." His grin turned very ironic. "Alright, think 'm not gonna die. At least not right now. 'm pretty hard to kill." His point was somewhat hampered by the fact the hand he moved to pat her arm shook visibly.
He didn't tell her that he had felt more or less okay before the attack. His heart's rhythm had evened out briefly before the attack hit. But it felt different now, his very heartbeat felt different.
Of course Buffy had asked him how he was doing and he knew he had to give her the full and proper answer. She was the leader after all. "Other than that mostly it's just this migrain an' my senses are... it's weird. Everythin's really sharp an' bright and loud. Don't know what ta make of it."
