Fred liked having someone else to work with down in the lab. It wasn't that Knox was a bad guy, he just tended to flirt with her more than she was really happy with. She hadn't *wanted* to tell him directly that she wasn't interested, but she might have to, she thought. She'd really like it if Wesley were interested, to be truthful, but he didn't seem to be, and she wasn't going to push things.
She did enjoy working with Willow, just as she had a little over a year ago. Willow didn't mind if she started rambling sometimes, and she did it now and then herself. Fred could feel the current of power from Willow, but there wasn't that eerie sense of foreboding that often came from someone with major evil power, despite being aware of Willow's evil period.
They had to check the amulet out from every possible scientific angle possible, and then probably along with Wesley, they'd have to examine it from every metaphysical and supernatural angle there was. Angel needed to know exactly what was up with it.
"It's hard to know just what to do first, you know?" she commented. "There are so many ways we have to look at this thing."
