A Final Fantasy VII RPG
Twice, our world was stricken by the end. The plains and once wet fields are nothing but ashes, torn asunder by the was, the then, the past - two pasts - that laid their marks.
Our planet was fated to die twice over, and though there were many that shed their blood for this good earth when their time came for them, the Gaian race is far from extinction. We wonder how it is that our place in this known universe avoided destruction, of Meteor and Omega, but as all beings who are face to face with the ultimate question of reality, we come to understand that we know nothing. We've set our eyes on re-birth; these were not uncharted waters. We looked to the heavens for Alexander, for Eden, for law and religion, and we saw the pale drifts of Lifestream scattered across the stars. Our world as we know it is a war of the world's making. A war waged upon us, and itself, the galaxies and beyond willing a conquest by extermination of all that is good to us, and all that remains. Others have fought for us. We looked on to our saviors for help. Where once stood Shinra, our lord and protector, now stands bricks in broken asphalt. Where once stood Midgar, the empire, now stands Midgar, the ruins. Shinra, Avalanche, World Regenesis, Deepground. There's only so far we can go with self-conflict and single-manned goals.
The colonization of this planet alone won't help our cause. The clusters of our people still exist, the grounds of the past are crumbled, and one by one, we attempt to pick up the pieces, to an avail we hope still lives.
This isn't the end. At least, not yet. But can we learn, or will we ever learn?

Notes: If you come across a section that seems a bit vague (like in regards to lab equipment or exact army lingo), that's because either I don't have a clue, or I'm making stuff up because I can't quite remember. I've tried to keep it to a minimum, but figured it wasn't exactly crucial because this is primarily a humor fic. If it was a serious fic, you can trust that the details would be as accurate as I could possibly get them.

Genfic: Fanfiction that contains either no intimate relationships between characters, or where such a relationship is not the main focus. Also known as friendship-fic. Please note that the only thing ruled out here is relationships. A story about SOLDIER is harldy complete without a good fight. That's fine. I guess what I'm trying to say is this is a place to post plot-centric fic, not smut-centered. There are plenty of other communities out there for that.
Please feel free to post anything that fits that criteria, whether or not it is fanfiction. Icons, AMVs, art, etc. are just as welcome, encouraged, in fact! Post away! ^_^
Before you do, though, please take a few moments to read over these guidelines to help make everyone's experience here as pleasant as possible.
Posting Guidelines:
1) Keep it FFVII-related. This includes compilations (Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core, Before Crisis, Advent Children).
2) LJ-cuts: Images go behind a cut, please. Icon posts can have a few (no more than 4) teasers outside of it, but the bulk has to be LJ-cut. Fanfiction should have the header outside the cut, everything else behind.
3) Label posts appropriately; especially the 'warnings'. They're supposed to be there for a reason.
4) Abuse of other members will NOT be tolerated. At all. Period. You will get one, and I mean one warning. Do it again and you will be removed. If you don't like what someone writes, don't read it. Plain and simple.
5) Have fun! (Yes, it's a rule!) ~_^
