Thank you so much for the response to my email, everybody! I'm glad we're all still willing to provide this home for our characters, and I'm glad you're all still here with me. ♥

This post is here for two reasons:

i. As suggested, we're going to make a game amnesty. What does this mean? Well, if you feel a character is no longer working, or that you'd like to see a plotline and/or backstory reset, drop a line here so that we can discuss things and work on the appropriate changes. Alternately, if you'd like to add a new character, this can be as good a place for requesting it as the holds page.

ii. I'm also taking the opportunity to address a matter connected to the issues brought by last month's IJ crash. You might have noticed on other journals that, when the site was restored, the friends pages were seriously messed up due to a problem with the friending/unfriending of other journals. I tried to fix this here (and also on my CDJ) but realized that the friends button wasn't working. After a few experiments, I'm convinced that the problem is coming from the option to remove journals in the button's code.

If you wish to fix this, the way I've managed to do so was to head to Edit Friends and untick all the names in it before turning my attention to the Friend Button. Since I've re-friended all of you in this fashion, the button page will be visible to you - but if it's locked, let me know. You should also check if you're able to post in felix_logs or felix_ooc, as I know of some games where people had to leave and be re-added to the comms.

Also, keep in mind that at this point this is a quick solution to the problem, and that I haven't worked on updating our current character roster. As soon as I've worked on removing our recently departed characters, I'll let you know.

Max is here!!! The first wave is people who definitely have things to say regardless of when/if others come back. Wave two is dependant on other characters because they don't have enough to say on their own, and I'll include people need to come back first or at the same time. Wave three are people that need to be re-examined and possibly retconned at some level. I will include in parentheses the characters the characters they need to discuss plot with.

Wave one:
-Quentin
-Dirty Gertie

Wave two:
-Demz (pick two: Dean, Lee, Miles)
-Victoria (pick one: Alex or both remaining delinquents)
(retcon needed: not telling the Delinquents she's actively trying to conceive)

Wave three:
-Sean (Mel, Snatch employees, Luke)
(retcon: dreams of libraries, not classrooms)
-Rolf (Luna of course, Triwizard folks, Alex?)
(retcon: one year older, possible change of home country because of colouring? We've seen cannon representations of his fair grandparents now.)

Right, but wave two needs to have those characters already out b efore they can move forward.

Wave three need some real discussions about strengthening their bonds with the characters mentioned. Sean especially, who's only really strong connection is Dean. Both Q and Sean would like a stronger relationship with Greg.

Rolf and Luna... are we moving forward in time, or are we still doing awkward flirting? Are we moving them forward in time AND they are still awkward flirting? Have they been on a date? Have they kissed? ~~Have they slept together?~~ Rolf says no to this last one. And Alex, it seems like he will have words with Rolf at some point.

Tiago is a character none of mine have ever interacted with and I probably need to read the bio of! Also, I can't decide if new and improved Rolf attended the tournament or was a year older and avoided it, but it occurred to me that Karkaroff would never take Yakov and leave a smarty-pants like Rolf behind.

A discussion on those characters is indeed necessary. Greg does need more people to interact with, so a talk about his interaction with Q and Sean is needed.

We're moving forward in time only in the fact it's easier to keep an idea of the timeline if the game is set ten years prior. Maybe they're still in the awkward flirting stage? Well, with Luna it's never awkward, but I'm guessing for Rolf it might still be. And yes, I'm sure Alex will have something to say. Alison?

Well, Tiago is living in Portugal, so the interaction with most of the characters has been through journal only - so it's basically all a matter of how much yours have become familiar with him in that manner. Knowing him personally in the past, either via the Triwizard Tournament or being in hiding in Portugal during the war (as his experience as a radio DJ began while doing a Potterwatch-type radio show on Portuguese wizarding radio for refugees) can be a starting point. Or maybe, in Rolf's case, he went here on an expedition?

What I meant about moving forward in time is more like... one of the last big interactions that Luna and Rolf had was him sending her seed pods for her birthday last year and them deciding to eat dinner together. Basically I want to know, should we still say that happened last year, or do we want to fudge the details and say it was just a few months ago?

I think I should keep Rolf at the same age and say that he was at the tournament so he can have at least met Tiago. Rolf and his mother hid refugees from all over, so maybe they had a few of the same connections there too. It's also super likely that he's been to Portugal!

He totally thought she was pretty but asked someone about her when the Yule Ball was coming up, learned she was thirteen, and noped out. YES YES YES. How old is the kid going to be now? Rolf loves children and babies and would like to hang out with him. He's surprisingly good with babies. I imagine Maks and Taryn being really nervous to have this lanky awkward bowtruckle-type person hold their little child, but Rolf is sooo happy holding a baby. Which is good, since he's destined for twins one day.

Demz, you are not getting rid of Dean that easily. He just needs a rest. Lee, on the other hand, it is possible I may end up dropping. Demz is his only friend and, as with Barney, I'm not interested enough in Quidditch to do much with his job.

Vic, you are keeping both Alex and Romilda. Happy with the retcon.

Sean - what does 'dreams of libraries, not classrooms' mean?

Oh, I know. She just needs Dean and Miles around before she has much to talk about. And yeah, I understand. She loves Lee, but I understand that a lot of his plot went out the window when she moved out.

Romilda will still know that she's thinking about it, but not that she's actively trying.

I don't want him to be a teacher, and honestly, I think most schools wouldn't let a stripper teach children. Especially since he doesn't want to quit his other job ever. He's going to be a librarian, not a prof.

	I think Lee needs a George, particularly considering how hard the loss of Fred would have hit both of them. Having to kind of ignore or npc that whole thing is hard. Sean - that makes sense.
