Thank you so much for the response to my email, everybody! I'm glad we're all still willing to provide this home for our characters, and I'm glad you're all still here with me. ♥

This post is here for two reasons:

i. As suggested, we're going to make a game amnesty. What does this mean? Well, if you feel a character is no longer working, or that you'd like to see a plotline and/or backstory reset, drop a line here so that we can discuss things and work on the appropriate changes. Alternately, if you'd like to add a new character, this can be as good a place for requesting it as the holds page.

ii. I'm also taking the opportunity to address a matter connected to the issues brought by last month's IJ crash. You might have noticed on other journals that, when the site was restored, the friends pages were seriously messed up due to a problem with the friending/unfriending of other journals. I tried to fix this here (and also on my CDJ) but realized that the friends button wasn't working. After a few experiments, I'm convinced that the problem is coming from the option to remove journals in the button's code.

If you wish to fix this, the way I've managed to do so was to head to Edit Friends and untick all the names in it before turning my attention to the Friend Button. Since I've re-friended all of you in this fashion, the button page will be visible to you - but if it's locked, let me know. You should also check if you're able to post in [info]felix_logs or [info]felix_ooc, as I know of some games where people had to leave and be re-added to the comms.

Also, keep in mind that at this point this is a quick solution to the problem, and that I haven't worked on updating our current character roster. As soon as I've worked on removing our recently departed characters, I'll let you know.

I'll be doing my own list here in a moment, but I'll start by commenting how my chars relate to yours if that's ok?

The only ones of your first wave mine really have of your first wave are Yakov and Valentina through Maks and Anzelm. As much as I love the latter, I am considering dropping him (at least temporarily) while we get game activity back up, because I have so few connections for him and not really feeling it. However, Maks is both Russian and a Triwizard guy, even if he wasn't at Accio Goblet. We could always discuss retconning Anzelm and Yakov and develop things with Maks instead, if you were up for that?

Of your second wave, the only one who is clanging real bells for me is Glenys as she's godmother to Maks' child through her friendship with Taryn (whom Squeaky is keeping! She's just not here to say so yet). She was also in the same group as Kevin at Hogwarts, but like Anzelm, I am kind of struggling with him right now.

Third wave, Barney is of Larissa and Hamish's cohort and that's all I've got? <3

Yeah, I can see why Anzelm would be hard as he's a family man sans family. I'm totally up for Maks/Yakov development, though.

Yay Taryn is staying! I'm definitely keeping Glenys. I have thought about her and Kevin as a possible ship if you want to see if we can develop that?

Yeah, Barney has a few people to talk to, he just doesn't seem to have any plot of his own and I can't think how to move him forward.

Welllllll we said they went to the Yule ball together as friends I think? So it would be a sort of under-your-nose-the-whole-time sort of romance line. And I remember they were both lamenting on Kevin's last journal about it being hard to find love when you have a job you're very involved in, as they both do. Aaaaand I don't know, thoughts?

Ugh. He knows. But as much as he likes Mel for her big sexy brain, her stunning beauty, and her intense awesomeness, he's also a buff nerd who wants to play sexy hide and seek with a ripped celebrity athlete who hasn't lost his childlike wonder.

Barney is his ultimate sex fantasy. If he had just a pinch of Luke's geek knowledge he might actually be Sean's ideal mate. His happiness would last longer with Mel, but the fire would burn brighter with Barney. He doesn't ultimately want fun time all the time, but it sounds like a great ride for six months or so. Speaking of s great ride... that body. Wow.

Sean was like that with Evan for a hot minute and then was like... "That wasn't so bad." He's more careful with Evan now, but also occasionally appreciates that cute little tush.

But Demz is with you. Now there are two Hims Who Shall Not be Named.

And Vic and Q are funny bunnies who both pretty much maintained their sexuality even when under the potion. Sure Vic had lots of sex, but she was still obsessed with her boys. And Quentin was just like "let's hold hands and I will braid your hair. Oh you want to kiss on the mouth? Sure, if it will make you happy."

Rolf is glad he wasn't involved and Gertie is jelly. Who was Greg with?

Miles and Mel had sex in an attempt to get the recent events out of their heads. He's laughing it off now, but it's still not something he wants to think about.

Greg was with Lee, but all they did was go all lovey-dovey at each other. No hair-braiding for them, though. :P

Vic meanwhile often incorporates her experiences with Mel into dirty talk. The worst thing about that incident was losing Evan. She loves Alex and is glad they're finally together for real, but Sean had no right to play with her toys uh... No, never mind, she doesn't have a good reason.

The more I think about Sean and Mel, the less I'm convinced they'd last forever. I can certainly see them in a relationship, but I don't know that either of them would be completely satisfied with the other.

Oh yeah, I no longer think they would last forever. The more I've thought about Sean, the less I think he's destined for "forever." Somewhat similar to Penny, he really likes his job, even the parts where he occasionally goes into the champagne room and does a little extra that is sometimes basically (literally) prostitution. Like, he's blown Q for money so many times at this point and kind of digs it. Especially Q because never smells bad and always gives him extra hush money.

He's probably going to keep dancing until someone has the devastating task of telling him he's too old.

He would have to either be with someone who was totally cool with this, or he would just feel awful and guilty all the time. Somehow I don't see Mel loving this.

The sad part is that Gertie and Sean would be a little bit perfect together, but I probably already play with myself (lol) a little too much. But yeah, they'd kill it as a nerdy sex positive power couple. Good luck getting that idea out of your head, Greg.
