Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:! intro, x dawn

Hello everyone, this is Dawn. Okay, I'm going to post mine before I go back and reply to Orla and Patricia. I'm bringing back four. Two were at both Purgatory and Absolution. Morag didn't do any eighth year and was only at Purgatory. Mei was one I picked up at Absolution. I played both Katie and Spencer at both games.

Spencer Quick realized part way through his last year at Hogwarts that the main reason he liked announcing Quidditch didn't really have a whole lot to do with Quidditch and more to do with being able to run his mouth unchecked to a captive audience (totally NOT how he would put it, of course). After school he started working for WWN where he was given a one hour time slot in the afternoon about a year ago. He DJs the first show in WWN history that is solely about Muggle music and it's surprisingly popular. Popular enough that they're thinking of expanding it to two hours. He also still plays guitar performs when he gets a chance. After freaking out over how serious he and Yue were getting their last year at Hogwarts, Spencer essentially sabatoged the relationship. Friends are always welcome and if anyone has any boys in need of an ex he's probably dated a bit since things ended with Yue.

Mei Chang For those who don't know her Mei is Cho's younger sister. In order to avoid the shadow of her seemingly perfect sister Mei avoided any aspect of femininity for a long time. Keeping her hair very short and dressing in boy's clothes (of course this might also have something to do with the fact that she was embarrassed over being rather more developed in the chest area than most Asian girls). The one thing that most students knew about her was that she refused to play Quidditch (she's afraid of heights) but loves football. Part way through her last year at Hogwarts she ditched the boy's clothes causing Evan to amusingly think there was a new girl at Hogwarts. Since school was out she briefly dated Yue Sung but has spent most of her time focusing on her work for the Department of Magical Games and Sports where her former life as a tomboy serves her well. All potential lines appreciated.

Katie Bundy was a reluctant member of the IS back during the Carrow regime. Back then she was frightened of her own shadow and terrified of breaking the rules. Thanks in a large part to her relationship with Seamus Finnigan she learned to follow her conscience rather than the rules a bit and she escaped from under the suffocating thumb of her frightening Aunt Angelica. She's worked hard to redeem herself in the eyes of her peers. People who know Katie now know some who knows when to follow rules and when to disregard them. She's more playful with a sarcastic sense of humor. But she does still prefer order in most things which is why working as a secretary for the DMLE works out so well for her. She can get most of her by-the-book-ness out of her system at work. She is still with Seamus and they're probably still bickering and making up fairly frequently. She needs friends!

Morag Goldstein chose to get married instead of taking an eighth year at Hogwarts. After the Battle she had assisted the overworked Healers (thanks to the training she received from Julian during her last year at Hogwarts) and she worked it out with the Healers that her existing practical knowledge combined with her marks prior to her final year were enough to make an exception to allow her into Mediwitch training. She knew that she had the ability to be a Healer but she preferred the more caring aspects of being a mediwitch and working closely with patients. She and Anthony have just purchased their first house (as Orla mentioned in Anthony's intro) and she's currently driving him mad trying to talk to him about decorating things. She misses all her friends and needs more people to try to take care of. :)

Michael still doesn't understand how he has peers that are married. But thinks that Morag and Anthony work.

He would probably now Mei Chang through dating her sister -- back when he did things like actually date people.

Morag honestly isn't sure either but she can't imagine things any other way.

She probably had a crush on him. She seemed to crush on Cho's boyfriends a lot. And for reference, this is what she probably looked like then:

Michael says that's good!

And Michael would have been good to Mei, siblings are alright in his book and if he knew or was aware of the crush would have been decent about it. In my head, Michael and Cho were still in correspondence during his 7th year, I think actually he saved her during the final battle too (MC was a stupid BDH then) because Cho came back for him. So, there was that...

And that would mean a lot to her. She probably visited him a lot when he was at St Mungos then.

Once Michael was awake, visitors probably would have been a very welcome thing. Forcing him to keep his spirits up and not let himself feel like he was going to be a useless body who just got other people hurt.

She could definitely do that. And she probably promised him a game of footy once he was up and about again. Since her answer to everything in those days was football.

Michael would have laughed a lot at that, but agreed. It would be many months later until he was able to follow through on a game of footie.

Parvati and Spencer had some really great interactions. I imagine that they kept talking after the war. When she came back to Britain he probably made Sarah babysit Flynn for a night so they could go out like she promised back before the battle.

Katie really wants to be a part of Flynn's life and has probably been writing to Parvati since the war ended. She was devistated by the loss of Cal and couldn't imagine how Parvati must feel. He was the only person who knew about her relationship with Seamus and he knew a lot about her family life that most didn't know. She would definitely make an effort.

Morag had always been close to Padma and I think she and Parvati got along pretty well back at Purg.

She and Mei probably didn't have a ton of interactions back then but I think that they could get along well.

Leah is very excited to have Mei back. Both girls have clearly matured, looks-wise, since their schooldays, but I'm sure they're exactly the same as they were in every other respect. And they're both at the Ministry, even though in different departments, so there's still plenty of excuses for regular interaction.

Spencer and Jamie were dormmates and used to jam together, so maybe they're still in touch? Jamie still plays the drums (in a magically soundproofed room), so if he ever feels like jamming again he's more than welcome. And Leah is still available whenever Spencer needs a hug.

Also, Spencer and Katie will remember Jasmine as a housemate and prefect, though Jazzie had to leave school halfway through Katie's first year as a prefect so their interaction in that capacity would have been considerably reduced.

And finally, since Morag and Su are close, I'm sure she'll have interacted with Declan these past three years. I'm looking forward to Morag's reaction to the fact that, while their home was being built (construction only began after they came back from their trip around the world) Declan and Su lived in a teepee-like wizarding tent, hippy style.

Mei and Leah should meet for lunch every day they can. And Mei can wrangle Leah into her plot to get the Department of Magical Games and Sports to start youth football for magical kids.

Spencer would LOVE to jam with Jamie. The problem would more likely be keeping Spencer away sometimes. :) Spencer still sees Leah as his female soulmate.

I imagine Katie adored Jasmine before she had to leave.

I don't think that living in a tent would have bothered Morag overmuch though she does say they could have stayed with her and Anthony. Of course she isn't considering the fact that until recently their flat was the size of a postage stamp.

Leah won't need much persuasion to show her support. She's all for teaching Muggle sports to kids, as it would be a good (and fun) way to promote tolerance.

Jamie's fine with enabling Spencer to lose track of time. :P And Leah still goes "aww" over it.

Which means the teepee was probably bigger than Morag and Anthony's flat. *grins* Declan and Su would have explained that they wanted to be close to the construction site to oversee things.

Dawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn.

Okay, Spencer:
Romilda - Romilda loves Spencer and probably tries to set him up with people for no good reason.
Lucy - is grateful because Spencer was always nice to her, however, she probably doesn't talk much to Hufflepuffs in that year since her break-up with Jamie at the end of Hogwarts.
Bern - you don't know. Essentially, she's quiet and used to be nice but discovered a love for torturing people during the Carrows reign. She might try and be friendly to Spencer in case he's one of the people who'll tolerate her.
Alex - doesn't really know who he is.
Dean - didn't really know him at school but loves his radio show.
Evan - is homophobic. So. Yeah.
Wayne - you also don't know, but he's a Hufflepuff so he'll know Spencer vaguely. Wayne is a bit of a poet but he also has to work his ass off because his family are super poor.

Mei:
Romilda - says yayyyyy. Friendsies.
Lucy - they didn't really much interaction, did they?
Bern - DORMIES. Hashing out this relationship should be fun. Leah hates Bern but they were previously friends. I don't know if Mei wants to go the same way or for a difference angle.
Alex - doesn't really know who she is, but if he picks up that she's sensitive about people thinking she's a boy, will be sure to exploit it.
Dean - we had plotted that they would play football together. We should go with that. Shall we say they got into a conversation about football one time at Hogwarts and thereafter used to sometimes try and get a five-a-side going?
Evan - we were going to have them growing into a friendship, weren't we? Any ideas on how to do that?
Wayne - I think might actually get on with her quite well, bizarrely, if they have a reason to talk.

Katie:
Romilda - yeah, whatever.
Lucy - is super excited to have a friend!
Bern - won't really talk to her, I don't think.
Alex - would have had classes with her, but likely not talked to her much.
Dean - wants to be freinds with this girl who impressed his BFF Seamus so much! I'm guessing this will have already happened by the time the game takes place, so let's just play them as friends.
Evan - thinks she's pretty.
Wayne - knows her a bit as she's a Hufflepuff, and likes her well enough.

Morag:
Romilda - wants to know why the hell you would get married straight out of Hogwarts.
Lucy - hopes Morag might actually like her?
Bern - hopes Morag might not totally hate her.
Alex - is happy to be hated, he kind of revels in it.
Dean - will have known her from classes and the like and will be friendly.
Evan - barely notices her. Wedding rings make women invisible, like the One Ring.
Wayne - will know her from classes and will be nice. I imagine they'd get on pretty well, so maybe they could be friendly or friends?

:D

Spencer:
Romilda's matchmaking kind of cracks me up. He would probably go along with it because he likes going out on dates partly and partly because he knows it makes her happy.
He would understand why Lucy avoids him. But he'd still be nice.
With Bernice I think it will depend largely on how obvious her enjoyment of things was. He's been willing to let most things slide but those who clearly enjoyed the power he's still wary of.
He appreciates fans so that works for me
He and Evan need to have more of their arguments where Spencer tortures him and Evan freaks out. Those were always fun.
Spencer is probably aware of Wayne but I'm not sure how well they would know each other either since Spencer is an aquired taste if you aren't as naturally loud as he is.

Mei:
No, I don't think that Mei and Lucy had much interaction. When Absolution started she felt Lucy was trying too hard (she probably would have said the same thing about Katie) but she's not really one to hold on to feelings if evidence points in a different direction so we can see where things go.
Mei probably felt a little betrayed by Bern to be honest. She's able to forgive but she might not have been able to forget.
Alex can exploit it all he wants. Make some misery for poor Mei. :)
YES! to Dean and football. She might try to drag him into her plan to make it so football is available for wizarding kids too.
Mei and Evan were taking baby steps towards at least a kind of understanding before I left Absolution. Maybe we can build from there where they're aquaintances through the journals and then they can start talking about more important stuff?
I agree that Mei and Wayne could probably get along pretty well. We can see what happens through the journals. :)

Katie:
Same
I'm excited to play Lucy and Katie again. Their friendship has always been pretty strong.
Yeah, I think that Katie might have been put off by Bern during their IS days.
I think Alex would have scared the old Katherine and probably the new Katie too. :)
Agreed, she and Dean would definitely be friends by now.
She rolls her eyes at Evan but with a kind of exasperated not-quite-affection.
Agreed with Wayne.

Morag:
Because she loves Anthony and would marry him eventually. :)
Morag never had a big problem with Lucy to begin with. Sometimes she felt like she and Lucy were on opposite sides trying to accomplish the same thing.
If Bern had anything to do with actively hurting students she might not hate her but she's probably going to avoid her. Death Eaters killed her parents and the IS tortured Anthony.
I'm sure that she and Alex interacted at some point once she gave up pretending to be neutral.
lol, that made me laugh so hard!
I think she and Wayne could definitely be friends.

Spencer:
Romilda knows it is harder to find boy and girlfriends when you are gay. Just be glad she is not trying to set you up with her dad, Spencer. (THAT would be weird.)
Bernice, alas, was fairly obviously enjoying herself, so Spencer probably doesn't like her much.
Yes! To fun with Spencer/Evan.
Wayne doesn't mind loud in the least, so they could be friendly, although with two years between them they're probably not close.

Mei:
Bern can deal with Mei not forgetting, as long as she doesn't hate her like Leah does :-(
Dean is up for any and all plots involving football.
Okay, let's start to build Evan and Mei gradually.
And let's see with Wayne.

Katie:
Everything seems to be settled :-)

Morag:
Lucy is glad Morag doesn't have a problem with.
Bern... can kind of see why Morag doesn't want to be around her.
Awesome, let's make her friends with Wayne then <3
