greek psl?
Its been a while since I've seen an interesting game based off of Greek mythology (or just a game on Greek mythology for that matter) and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining one? I have a couple of ideas, which would probably work best if I list them.

a) Modern demi-gods (of no relation to that percy kid) who have domains and are trying to get comfortable within them. I assume modern demi-gods would have more modern domains. ie; Demeter's love child would probably be the demi god/dess of food preservatives, and modern food manufacturing techniques, or something. Aphrodite or Eros' love child could possibly be the demi god/dess of visual and/or vocal stimulation (porn/phone sex?), etc. We could have a bunch of fun, I think, giving these kids awkward domains, with equally .. awkward abilities.

b) Something sort of based off of the movie Hancock, about groups of people who have been around forever, and each possess extraordinary abilities which through time they've been considered gods, and whatnot. There would be twelve who managed to make it to present day, each strikingly familiar to their Greek counterpart, but the kicker there would be that maybe they weren't gods, but instead are the Annunaki, who have been around since ancient Sumeria.

c) Similar to b, and also sort of inspired by Hancock, but... what if the Greek gods recently came down within the past hundred or so years, and are in actuality, modern day superheroes?

d) Similar to c; what if modern day offspring of the Greek gods became modern day superheoes?

Or, you know, we could just do a reincarnation game.

Thoughts would be much appreciated. I've been itching to dust off the old classical mythology book, and shed some new light onto it; and I'm looking for others would would be interested in doing that too. :)

http://theism.insanejournal.com/400.html ! :) Feel free to add your input on whats been mentioned. :)

I completely agree. Some sort of motivation should be behind the game, which would present separate allegiances, whether someone wants to take the advantage of being on earth to overthrow zeus? (like he did to his father, and his father before him) could be interesting/possibility?

I definitely agree as far as something needed to keep groups in check. I'm also slightly worried with more of the powerhouse deities, having 20 different abilities... it could turn ugly (like DC and how Superman/Supergirl/Wonder Woman/etc. have 2020920390 different abilities) I was thinking maybe more pronounced domains.. and sort of explore "second mutations" as time sort of went on? This could of course be attributed to maybe memories they have gained through their time on earth, or something?

I'm not sure, but I'm really excited for this game to be fleshed out!
