I had no idea that some symbols may not show up for some users.

I didn't know either, until a few weeks ago when (after one of many browser/system crashes - I'm on Windows 98) I stopped being able to see the ♥ symbol. (;_;) I've been using Verdana as my browser font for ages, I miss it terribly now that it only works on Latin text (and Tahoma is having the same problem now, argh!). I've been trying everything I can to fix it, and in the meantime have been trying out other fonts to see if there's any suitable substitute. Today I found DejaVu Sans, which should do until I find a fix, although I don't think it's as pretty at smaller sizes. :(
