Vaan had just finished at the castle for the day and was back in Greenville walking along the packed dirt road. He had flown most of the way back toward town, but once he reached the village he had landed softly in the grass and continued on foot. Being a Sorcerer he had the ability of flight, but when around humans most preferred to walk, just like they did. He was wearing a leafy green doublet today, with leather trousers and brown patent boots. Nothing overly fancy, but certainly nice enough for the castle, and he looked as though he'd had a long day. He respected and placed his trust in the King, but sometimes he set his expectations a bit high for the apprentice. He'd spent most of his day helping and supervising the reconstruction of one of the outer walls and it had gone well, but he was ready for some down time.
His baton was tucked neatly in the inside pocket on his doublet and as he got further into town more people started to greet him. "Hello Vaan!" "Lovely day Vaan" "Selvaan, good to see you!" He mostly nodded and gave smiles in response. When he'd first come to Greenville, the people had been unsure of him. Most having never seen a Sorcerer before found him odd and if they could avoid him they did, but as time went on - and he gained the trust of their king - most of the villagers came around, especially those who lived at Madison's Pub with him.
Eventually the Pub came into view and Vaan felt a sigh escape him. He very much wanted to sit down and have a drink. Being a Sorcerer he didn't need to eat or drink (or sleep) to survive. All he needed was to be able to breathe, but he found he missed the food. It tasted too good. Coming up the front stoop he caught sight of someone carrying a stack of parcels. Before they even reached the root they were going to trip on Vaan was already at their side, levitating the parcels and catching the villager by the arm. "Watch your step there," he said, a kind smile on his face as he helped them to their feet.
