Does anyone know how long this whole singing thing could go on for? I know someone told me the train has pulled other crazy stuff so wasn't sure if it's always the same amount or no.

The longest I think we've seen something go is a month. Shortest ... I want to say was a week, but I wouldn't quote me on that. The average seems to be about two though.

So the train doesn't have a set time for the things it does? The singing could go for a month? I think I might lose my mind if this will be going on for a month.

No. No set time it's in any given reality, which ... makes apparating off really dicey after the first week, and no set time for whatever torment its putting us through.

We can try to guess, but ... like I said. It'll average two weeks. I haven't seen a month long anything since the first month, but some things have only gone on for about a week. So maybe we'll get lucky with this one.

You can get off this train? Must be nice to be able to get off for a while. How often does the train torment us? Is it like go on for however long, give us a break, and start again or no set time on that either?

I hope we get lucky with a short time of this because I don't want to sing anything else and I'm tired of hearing others sing at all hours of the day. I don't blame them because I know it's the train causing it but still not all that fun.

Oh god you must be new

Some people, yes. Witches, wizards, ghosts, demons, angels, and mutants who have teleportation powers can get off while the train's moving. Some of them can take people along with them, and that's becoming increasingly common. Which is why you'll see a lot of 'hey can someone take me off' posts.

The train's torment's been ... pretty constant since day one, honestly. For the first month, it was something we could circumvent. After that though ... it's just been random and undodgeable. The week after the wasp-fest I think was the first time there wasn't something going on. The stops vary as far as level of torment goes. It usually picks a day to kick us all off at a stop. Not the last one, thankfully, but the two before that it did.

But no, the torment never seems to be on a schedule. The first month, it was ... the whole month. The wasps I think were only a week. There was a week where we were underwater where nothing was going on, but I consider the whole being underwater thing torment, so I don't count that as a 'nothing happened' week.

I agree, wholeheartedly. I only sang once, it was only in front of one person, but that was way, way more than enough for me.

And I get told I'm really not dead. How are all those things possible?

I'm sure this is going to sound rather stupid, but all of those are real? Like the things people hear about are real on this train? I should pay more attention. I really wasn't paying much attention to the posts, but I might have to now. I would probably be one of those people if it wasn't for me not wanting to be a pest.

Yeah, this is the first thing I've really been around for and the whole thing is.......odd, I guess is the right word? And why does the train kick us off? I'm thankful it didn't this time because I really didn't feel like getting off the train in that place.

Wait, underwater? Really? That must have been crazy. I love the water but being underwater is not something I would want to be dealing with.

I have only sang once so far and I would like to keep it that way. I don't think anyone heard me sing or at least I hope not.

Yes. We have ... at least one of each. Or have had. I'm not sure we have a teleporting mutant anymore. But we used to. He was blue. But ... yes. Vampires, werewolves, mutants, witches, wizards, ghosts, angels, demons, and probably other people that don't quite fit any of those classifications. They're all real.

The past two times, it cleaned itself and expanded. Oh. But it totally didn't add any cars this stop. Maybe that's the trigger. Now we just have to play 'will the train grow on this stop' to guess if it's kicking us off or not.

I hated it. I don't think I slept more than ten hours the whole week. I was just waiting for a window to explode and us all to drown. We were patrolling to catch leaks, and Bobby was keeping the observation car iced over in case those windows broke and I think half the passengers were stressed out of their minds.

I don't think I did, for what it's worth.

Wow, just it's odd to think those things are real. Here I thought they were just ways to scare people then again the whole different world thing I was told about would explain the whole thing, I guess. Or I'm just losing my mind either way it works, I guess.

And the train does this all on its own? Does the train give us a heads up before we get kicked out? I'll have to remember the whole train likes to kick people off thing.

I love the water, but I would hate to be underwater. Did anything happen to the train while it was underwater? I would think the windows would crack or break from the pressure of the water. I would have been an emotional mess even more than I am now if I had been around for that.

It's worth a lot just need to hope no one else did. Then again at least the song wasn't some love song or anything.

They're just myths and legends to most people. We had two demi-gods on board for a little while, but they left about a month or so ago. Well. Were sent home, not ... left.

It -- or whatever's guiding or controlling it -- does it on its own, yes. And no, no warning. Which is why the first time, people were booted out in their pajamas or in the middle of a shower. The second time caught us by surprise, too. So of course this time we warn everyone to be dressed and armed at midnights, and nothing happens. Both times it was midnight, so we assume that's the magical hour.

Nothing did happen. Whether it was our precautions or the train had some sort of unbreakable thing going on, we don't know. But we survived unscathed.

Yeah, love songs seem to be going around. Mine ... more or less was.

Did you guys really? Yeah, all that stuff is like stories, horror movies, and what not. Only witches are the ones that study wiccan and vampires are the crazy people who want to believe they are ones.

Great, I'll have to remember that for stops that no showers or anything either before midnight or after. I would hate to get kicked out of the train while in the shower.

At least you lived to tell the tale of the underwater train. That sounds weird even when I read it.

Mine was not but could be because I don't have anyone or believe in the concept of love anymore. Was the love song at least to the person you like?

Yup. Apparently the New York we stopped in was home to Greek gods and they were offspring of the gods.

I'm the wand-waving kind of witch. =D

Right? That, or in the middle of sex or something.

Hah. Yes. So did the rest of us.

Yes. Ray and I have been together for ... I don't know. A few months. We're well involved.

At least they were able to return home to where they belong.

What other kind of witches are there? I'm just a normal human with no powers or skills.

Oh, I don't even want to think about having to be kicked out by the train during sex. I would want to die.

I'm happy for you two. I had someone special but now I'm quite happy being on my own.

We hope. Yup.

Well. There's a bloke here who uses a staff instead of a wand, and a while back there was a sorcerer who used a ring. Oh, and one who didn't have to use anything, but his magic drained his life. He wasn't actually here very long though.

It would be pretty horrific. I agree.

I don't know if I should say I'm sorry to hear that or I'm happy for you, so pick whichever one works best. =D

Thanks by the way for the help and for answering my questions.

His magic drained his life? I don't even know what to say to that, but that all sounds rather weird interesting. And you guys can actually do magic? Not just nut jobs who think you can or pretend to do it for money when it's all fake? Sorry if that question sounded rude, but yeah, I figured I would cover all my bases.

Did that happen to anyone the first two times it kicked people off?

Depends on the day I'm having. Sometimes it's a good things and others it's a bit sad. Right now I'll go with the thanks, I'm happy for me as well.

No problem. I'm a pro at question answering. =D

It's not any kind of magic I'd want, that's for damn sure.

Nope, it's real magic. And it's fine. I mean, I get it. When magic is all smoke and mirrors or fairy-tales, it's hard to believe it's real. But I promise, 100% real magic here.

Sex? I don't know. I know for sure there was an incident of mid-shower though. It wasn't me, but it was on the network.

Good. Happy's a good place to be.

I feel like I'm doing an interview or something with all the questions. But at least you don't mind them considering I'm sure you heard or deal with them quite a bit.

No, I wouldn't think it would be all that fun. Yeah, only magic I've ever dealt with are those women who pretend they can see the future to take rip you off or the ones that do tricks at birthday parties. So I wanted to ask. I mean yes, it's weird since never really had that but never really had a train kidnapping people either. Just need to deal with new things I never thought were real or at least until I wake up from this bad nightmare..

With my luck that would have ended up me next time it kicked us off if I didn't have the warning.

Yes, it is. Now if only that was the truth on me being all happy. Oh how rude of me. I'm Trish Wellington, nice to meet you even though I'm not actually meeting you just chatting over this thing.

I tend to hit a lot of the new arrival network posts, yeah. Lily probably would if she checked the network more, but ... she's usually out and about in the kitchen and whatever, so. She handles anyone who wanders into her domain.

I went to go watch a Muggle magician once. It was kind of funny the things they passed off as magic. I can do demonstrations if you want =D

It might screw with us and not kick us off again. Shake up the pattern to keep us on our toes. It likes to play with us. Either way, I'm going to try to remember to be dressed at midnights.

Jaime Dorny. Nice to virtually meet you.

At least someone is around to help out the new people whether it's by the posts or when they are wondering around. I had someone helping me out when I first arrived here, but I was in my own world that I was caught up in my own world that I wasn't listening or asking questions.

I might have to take you up on these demonstrations because now I'm rather curious.

Well since you said midnight, I'll just make sure I'm dressed in comfortable clothes for the whole kicking out process.

Nice to virtually meet you as well.

If it isn't one of us, there's still usually someone else who manages to find new people and help them out. Most of us remember what it was like to be new, so ... we lend a hand.

Sure thing. Whenever and wherever.

Yeah. I try to remember. Hopefully we'll be somewhere we can breathe and where there aren't hazards hanging around. Like superflus or zombies.

Yeah, that's nice of you guys considering the whole being new is hard. Even more so when you find out the whole supernatural stuff is real.

When ever you want is fine by me.

Has the train taken you guys to dangerous places?

Well, Tortuga was pretty dangerous, what with people getting cut and shot. But we went through this place called Pandora where we had to keep the windows closed the whole time because the air was unbreatheable. I don't think Nebraska was exactly safe, with the lingering superflu. I didn't feel very safe underwater. So I'll go with yeah, train likes some danger.

So not what I enjoy hearing. Yeah, I knew Tortuga wasn't pretty and that was why I wasn't really going out. Though I wasn't sure about the places before that. You guys were around a superflu? No, the underwater one sounds very unsafe, but I don't like the sound of the danger it loves.

It gave us vaccines beforehand, but since they weren't labeled and no one actually knew what they were aside from "gifts from the train" not everyone took them.

No one turned up sick though, so maybe we were stealth-vaccinated if we didn't take it.

It's not always horrible, but more often than not.

Not that I know of. Then again I really haven't been around long so this is the first thing I've had to deal with. If the train plans on tossing more stuff at us.....I'm probably going to lose my mind depending on what it is.
