RP: Let's see what's going on in the world
When: February 10, 2009
Who: Alecto Carrow (in PollyJuice), open
Where: The Leaky Cauldron (Hannah doesn't care)
Private/Public: Public
Rating: All ages for now
Summary: Alecto's become bored of taking orders and laying low and wants to have some fun. Anyone who wants to attempt to talk to her is welcome

Alecto had grown bored of laying low and letting everyone else have the fun. She had brewed all the potions they needed for torture and keeping themselves hidden. Now she wanted to have her own fun. She'd caught a girl in the streets of London that looked to be around twenty - her clothes were proper, but Alecto knew she could make the best of the body underneath it when it was hers.

She smoothed her hair as she went into the Leaky Cauldron, looking for someone to talk to - someone to interact with. She could be polite when she needed to be. And she could seduce as well as the rest of them. Her interest was listening and seeing what she could find out about what the wizarding world thought was going on. She'd read the Prophet and it seemed like the Minister was keeping things under wraps still. Good for him.

She took a seat at the bar and ordered an ale, needing to get back into her life - even if it was in the guise of someone else for now.

Zach didn't go out often but he had promised Hannah to stop by more often, and he was not the type of man who did not hold a promise. Which was why he was at the Leaky tonight, sitting at the bar with a pint that Tom had served him, waiting for Hannah to have time for a talk to him.

He had just taken a sip of his lager when he felt someone sit down next to him. People usually avoided sitting next him, and so he looked up and turned his attention to the woman. She was smiling, and her robes were far too revealing. For a moment he pondered telling her so, but decided it was not wise. Of course he did not consider that he might be seen as staring as he looked at her.

Alecto glanced at the young man beside her. She remembered him from her teaching days at Hogwarts. Of course, most of the people she had seen lately were Hogwarts students - or had been. She was sure he hadn't been in Slytherin. She tended to remember those students better than all the rest.

He was staring though, appraising her as if he thought she should be wearing more clothing. Her lips curved into a smirk. Prude, she thought.

"You should put your eyes back into your head, precious," she purred, the voice leaving her lips not her own. It was the first time she had heard it - and it was lightly accented - which was perfect. She could tell anyone that asked that she had gone to Durmstrang.

Zach's eyes widened at the purr in her voice, and the accusation and while his first response was to turn away and ignore the unpleasant woman, his pride stood in the way.

'I am not your precious,' he said haughtily. 'Nor was I staring at you.' With that he turned his face forwards, refusing to glance at her, hoping Hannah would be by soon.

Alecto propped her elbow on the bar to study his profile, amused at his reply.

"Oh, so you were just looking at me like I needed more clothes," she smirked. "Or less clothes perhaps?"

She took a long drink, deciding to play with this one a while. If he wasn't interested in this body, then she'd at least be amused by the things he said for a while. And that was better than sitting around doing nothing.

Zach nearly choked on his drink at the last statement, turning to stare at her. 'Definitely not less,' he pointed out. 'What you have on is quite revealing enough.'

He took another sip to calm down before adding. 'If you want respect that is not the way to go. No man with honest intention would ever look at a woman dressed like that.'

"The point in dressing this way is not to find a man with honest intentions," she said, taking a sip of her ale. "Those bloody wankers are boring. I'm sure you're loads of fun, precious, but you really need to loosen up a bit. You're clearly wound too tight - judging from your reactions."

Zach's eyes widened, even if he'd heard it before it never ceased to amaze him. 'Why on earth would you want someone to look at you like some piece of meat?'

He glared at her at the nickname, rolling his eyes. 'No thank you, I'm quite happy with respecting proper women and avoiding those who do not respect themselves enough to know what to look for,' he answered, looking for Hannah again, wondering why she had to be behind the scenes tonight of all nights.

He wondered what this woman meant with fun - he was sure it was something utterly immoral. He felt slightly nauseated at the thought.

"Why not?" she smirked, thoroughly enjoying goading him on. "Aren't women supposed to be around to be enjoyed by men who like looking at them? So why not show off our bodies for your enjoyment? Unless...you've never seen a woman naked to enjoy their body."

What was it with women that made them think that they were there for the sinful pleasures of men? Did they have no self respect at all? Zach snorted, even though a light blush crept up his neck as she spoke. Unlike Olivia though, Alecto didn't provoke a full on embarrassing moment at least. Possibly because Olivia already had.

'I have no interest in women with no respect for themselves,' he said haughtily. 'There are women out there who knows how to behave and knows what they're worth. Women who thinks they're there for the sinful pleasures of men are not for me.' He refrained from calling them - and thereby possibly her - for tarts, if only barely.

Penelope would at least never think like that about herself, but then she was a lady.

"Then you never have enjoyed the pleasures a woman can give you?" she asked, arching a brow. "Pity."

Alecto was enjoying this, even if he was a prude. And it was a pity. He was a handsome boy, even if he wasn't Slytherin.

Zach glared at her. 'That is a highly personal question and not one I intend to dignify with an answer.' Who did this woman think she was? And why wasn't she leaving him alone? And where was Hannah? He was about ready to give up waiting for her just to get away from the annoying company.

Alecto sent a glare his way - one she was sure would put him down if she wasn't in this girl's body.

"What would you dignify with an answer?" she asked, arching a brow. "How about the question - are you gay?"

Zach spurted his beer, staring at her. 'Of course not!' he spat out, his voice shaking with shock. 'I- obviously unlike you- have morals and standards.'

He stretched, his chin raised as he spoke. 'If you want to disgrace yourself that's your business, but I will not disgrace me, and if you do not mind I was waiting for a friend.'

If the woman kept asking questions like that, however, he'd see Hannah some other time. He would not stand for any indecency.

His complete denial said it all. Closet case. Yes. Alecto could tell Rabastan about this one and maybe he could have a bit of fun.

She looked around the bar, her eyes lighting on a blond girl who was attractive and looked like she was in charge. Oh, what was her name? Alecto was sure she'd seen the girl at Hogwarts before. It didn't matter. But she'd be a good example to use.

"You see that girl? The one there, the blond," she said, pointing to Hannah. "Do you think she's attractive? Would you say she has morals and is the kind of girl you're talking about?"

Zach followed her gaze, a waive of relief washing over him as he saw Hannah. Finally, a way of getting rid of the annoying woman.

'That woman is a friend of mine, and I'd definitely say that her morals are far better than yours,' he said pointedly. 'If you'll excuse me, she's also the woman I've been waiting for.'

With that he took his beer and made a beeline for Hannah, making sure to put as much distance between him and the lose woman as possible.

Alecto snorted, but didn't do anything to keep him from leaving. Yes, this one would be fun to break if she had a mind to do it.

She watched the boy interact with the girl - they definitely seemed friendly, but not anything other than friends. If she was right, he was definitely not into girls. She had an eye for those sorts of people. This one was definitely one to keep an eye on.

Zach smiled, for the first time relaxed since coming here it seemed. 'Not long, and yet far too long. That annoying woman over there kept bothering me,' he said with a shudder.

'But enough of unpleasant things, how are you?'

Hannah glanced over at the woman in question, furrowing a brow at her. She hadn't seen her before, but that wasn't anything new. Witches and wizards from other countries came in all the time.

"I'm truly sorry for that," she said, hiding a smile. "Let's get a table. I have a little bit of time to catch up with old friends. I'm good. How are you? You look great. Very well groomed, as always."

Hannah led the way to the booth where she usually spread out her work. She slid in and caught a waitress on her way by to bring her a cup of tea.

"Thank you," she smiled, turning her attention back to Zach. "I might overwork myself a little bit, but it comes with the job. I can't very well turn away any problems my patrons bring to me while they stay here, can I?"

Giving her a stern look, Zach took another sip of his nearly empty beer. 'Hannah, you need to rest too, and take care of yourself. There are other people working here, and I'm sure they can handle some of the issues.'

'Do you really think the Minister of Magic does it all by himself?' he asked, smirking. 'I'm telling you, you need to take it easy on yourself. Working hard is good, but being able to work efficiently is better.'

Hannah really did fight the urge to roll her eyes at Zach. She knew it was his way though.

"Thanks, Dad," she laughed. "I promise I'll eat good and get eight hours and do the best I can."

Zach raised an eyebrow, then put his chin a bit in the air. 'Well someone has to look out for you.' For all of them, they'd always taken stupid risks and failed to go to bed on time or eat properly...

Just take the entire DA fiasco for an example. Why were they insisting on joining something so stupid - not to mention dangerous. Indeed, someone needed to watch out for his friends.

'Now tell me, what's going on in your life?' he asked.

Hannah thanked the waitress for her tea and took a sip before she answered Zach. She knew Zach would never be happy unless he was looking out for people. Which was rather funny to her, since she'd become so motherly since her mum had died.

"I have plenty of people looking out for me, thank you," she smiled. "As for my life, you see it. Working and trying to keep up with you lot."

Zach nearly rolled his eyes. 'Hannah, since when would I ever advice anyone to go out partying every night?' he asked, smiling a bit at her. 'This is me, who likes to work, go to a museum or a play every now and again and have friends over for dinner a few times a year. I'm hardly a party animal.'

He smirked. 'If you were partying every night, I'd definitely be worried about you.'

"So you're saying I should get some culture?" she said, wrinkling her nose at him. "I have plenty of culture thank you. And I do go out, I just don't do it all the time. Sometimes I feel like doing it alone, what's wrong with that?"

'No, I'm saying you should take care of yourself so that you keep healthy and happy,' he said, wondering why this was a concept hard to understand. Really was it so strange that he was worried about his friends when they couldn't even see such a simple thing?

'I just worry about you all sometimes. I do think it's my prerogative as your friend,' he added with a smile.

Zach snorted a bit, rolling his eyes again, though he did smile. 'And now you sound like my mother,' he said, smirking.

'Besides, who is to say that I'm not currently dating?' he asked, though he wondered still if what he and Penelope had done could be counted as dating or if it was just friendship but then there was the part where he tensed when she touched him.

Yes definitely dating, he decided.

A rather deep blushed flashed his cheeks at the direct question, because really there were things you just did not ask about and well - wasn't that supposed to be one of them?

Finishing his beer, he still nodded. Maybe. Sort of. 'It's too early to say,' he settled on. 'But I have been socialising with a very intelligent and interesting woman lately. It remains to be seen if it's more than friendship.' Though he thought it was.

He rarely drank more, and when he did...well it usually left him in places he didn't want to think about when sober.
