Who: Edward Elric & York
What: Just some time together.
When: December 4th, Evening
Where: The Elric/Spartan House
Rating: PG-13
Status: Log - Complete
Dinner with Al had ended well enough, he ended up actually managing to be a social human being through most of it. Even didn’t glare at the waitress in spite of being delivered milk-whether accident or prank the jury was still out and gave no fucks. But now Ed found himself alone at home in a quiet house on the floor beside York’s bed. He had a knee pulled up to his chest and his back against the bed. Eyes roamed over the note that their mother had written to Al. Only then in the confinement of their shared room without any eyes on him did he feel his chest tighten as tears fell. Things had been hard lately, and while Ed appreciated seeing the pictures he was alone in that room. His brother was gone, so was his mom and he felt fifteen all over again. He wanted to see her. He didn’t actually want to be alone. That empty house suddenly felt huge, and Ed stood, shaking it off with an amused scoff at himself. Pathetic. Ed climbed into bed instead, maybe sleep would be better. He’d wanted to stay up until York got there, but he’d tired himself out. --- The younger man wouldn’t be asleep for long before the feel of the bed shifting would certainly wake him. The tall blonde was climbing in behind him, mostly naked (he was wearing tight boxer briefs, but that was it) and slightly damp from a shower, slipping an arm around Ed’s waist and gently pulling him back in against his larger body. He pressed a kiss just behind his ear. “Tell me.” His quiet demand once he knew Ed was awake. --- Tired golden eyes slid partially open at the movement but the world really hadn’t come back into perspective. Things were still bleary for him, but he’d recognize York’s touch anywhere. He didn’t respond at first, in fact he had half a mind to just go back to sleep but then of course York was talking. Keeping his eyes open was hard, and they were a bit on the red side, but he hadn’t turned. York wouldn’t see that thankfully. “You woke me, you’re the one who should tell me.” He finally said in response, letting his cheekbone rest on one of his impressive arm muscles. They made good pillows even if they were hard. Every night he’d been awake when York was home so far, but the world decided to fall ontop of him instead like a pile of bricks and Ed gave in. --- A smile touched York’s lips and he kissed behind the younger man’s ear again. “Tell me.” He insisted again. It had become ritual, to force Ed to say it, and to accept it with a kiss. It’d been awhile since York had said the words ‘I love you’, but his ‘Tell me’ had become his way of saying it. Somehow, ‘Tell me’ had become ‘I love you’. His hand smoothed over the Alchemist’s abdomen, slipping lower, fingers disappearing beneath the waistband of his sleep pants. Theta was doing a plethora of tasks York had assigned. On purpose. He was distracted for the next few minutes. --- Ed gave a resigned sigh at the persistence of his boyfriend but finally did manage the words. “I love you.” And his eyes slid shut again as he figured that would be it. That’d been it a lot lately, and while it was fine he did miss getting to see him conscious more than an hour or two at a time. He missed a lot of things right then. Including the thing York’s hand was doing that caused him to turn just slightly to look at him in confusion. “What about Theta?” Wasn’t the AI still in his brain at that point? And he’d yet to take Delta. And there was that spiral of worry again. Ed didn’t realize York had set him off to do other things, he wasn’t looking to traumatize a kid or anything even if he did crave his touch. --- “Theta is running calculations and scenarios for me. He’ll be busy for a short while.” He dipped his hand lower, fingers wrapping around his boyfriend as he pressed his hips forward a little to ensure Ed got all the stimulation he wanted. A short while was all he had, so he had to get this done in a timely manner. Not that he thought he’d have any trouble. “Tell me.” Sure, Ed had already told him, but York wanted to hear it while his hand was on him. --- He hadn’t initially been in the mood for this, but it had been so long it wasn’t hard to get him in it. He was so pent up it didn’t take all that long either this time around. His head remained on the larger man’s arm as an involuntary sound escaped his throat at his simple touch. He was extremely sensitive to it so it didn’t take all that long for all the muscles in his stomach to tense up either. “I love you.” He hadn’t wanted it to be quick, but it was. He hadn’t been able to hold out long at all. After the fact his cheek fell gently back against York’s other arm and he just laid there breathing. “How long do you have?” He finally asked after he caught his breath again. --- It was quick, and York drew his hand away slowly and brought it back to lick away the evidence, before carefully tucking Ed back into his sleeping pants and curling his arm around the younger man again. “Al and Levi are there for the next eight hours. I’m going back in six.” He pressed a kiss to his boyfriend’s neck. “Thank you for the help.” He was well aware that it’d been Ed who told not only his little brother, but also the Captain, to come and offer their help. It’d made a lot of difference. Levi refused to tend the wounded, but he was very capable of doing other things. And Alphonse made a surprisingly good nurse. York was pleased. --- Six. Right. “Oh.” He responded quietly. “I’ll take Delta then.” York had physically been able to see him for under an hour at least. He didn’t want to be upset when he had less than an entire night with York, and yet there it was again. Without Delta at least York wouldn’t have to be bothered seeing it. “As long as it helps that’s what matters.” And yet it seemed like his time with York was getting shorter and shorter. He let his eyes close again for a moment and his hair fell into his face, but he didn’t bother to move it away. That heavy feeling had resurfaced. “You should get some sleep, I’m tired anyway.” He wasn’t really, he just didn’t feel like feeling things. --- Ed was angry with him. York supposed he had a right to be. But his free hand moved away from the Alchemist’s belly and instead pressed to eject Delta. The chip was removed and he brought it down to set the chip into Ed’s hand. A kiss to his neck followed. “I’m sorry I’m a bad boyfriend.” Quietly whispered near his ear. “I’m yours for the next six hours. We don’t have to sleep.” They could do whatever Ed wanted. They always could. He just wanted to make Ed happy. --- It was different than anger, but it probably came across that way considering the awful night he’d been having before York even got there. With Delta in his hand his eyes opened again and he touched York’s cheek with the other. “You aren’t.” He tilted his head slightly to give a little more access. “And do what when you go back to work for twenty-two hours on no sleep, cut your hand open-or someone elses?..No, you need sleep. I’m fine.” Tone a little softer this time as he’d realized apparently York had picked up on the edge. He reached an arm over to the small necklace on the desk near by he’d been using to keep Delta on when he had him and attached him to it. ---- “I’m more than capable of going a long time without sleep, you know that.” He shifted his body and scooted back a little, rolling Ed to lay on his back, so he could carefully climb atop him, once again straddling his thighs, and setting his elbows to the bed so he could keep most of his weight off of the other man. He was quite heavy. “I don’t need sleep. I need you.” He needed Ed to be okay. To be comfortable. To be happy. To be strong. He needed to be able to take care of the man beneath him-- if he couldn’t, he found himself to be useless. --- He wasn’t happy in that moment no, but he was managing. He was still functional on most days, there were just pockets of time he disappeared. The blonde looked up at him with a tired sort of smile. “What are you doing?” A hint of amusement to his voice. He didn’t necessarily feel like having sex just then if that’s what this was. He mostly just wanted time. He didn’t want to speed through things. He would settle for just laying with him instead. “You have me.” He didn’t like troubling York with things lately. That wasn’t how he wanted to spend their limited time, but apparently he wasn’t able to just pretend he was as fine as he tried to make himself sound. He was trying to be strong but when it came to certain memories he just felt bad. Memories of his own mother and Al and lack of them left him in a strange mood. --- “Then please don’t shut me out.” Ed was acting funny. He wasn’t talking to York like he usually did. He was treating the Spartan like he was made of glass and the taller man didn’t want or needed that sort of treatment. “I’m here, Ed. I know you need me, and you have me. So don’t shut me out.” He pressed his mouth to the younger man’s jaw, letting their chests settle together. He wasn’t doing this for sex-- he couldn’t, Theta was already done with his tasks-- he just wanted to be close. He wanted to lay with Ed and let Ed know he was here. What better way than with his weight? Well, not his whole weight, of course, but some of it. --- When York finally just settled on him, Ed realized that was what this was, and he was glad. Just laying with him helped, and if he could have forgotten the time limit on this it would have been better-but he couldn’t forget anything just then. Instead he was just stressing himself and apparently York out more as well and that was the opposite of what he’d been trying to do. He physically hadn’t pushed York away, he just didn’t realize he was rebuilding the walls that York had torn down in the first place in an attempt to keep himself going and not to just stop entirely. After a while he spoke quietly. “Al gave me old photos of mom.” Before York had even shown up he was in a state. “There was this ridiculous letter with it for him too. I don’t even really remember all the details but I just..” The words made him feel stupid. --- Pressing his face in against Ed’s neck, York would simply linger there, settled close, unmoving. “Did he? Are you glad for it?” Or did he wish he hadn’t been saddled with such memories? Talk to him, Ed. He felt like he was losing you. And he was. The younger man was rebuilding his walls and the Spartan was desperately trying to keep him from doing so. Don’t leave him out in the cold, Ed. “What did it say?” He didn’t remember the details, but he remembered the summary, didn't he? York hoped he’d tell him. --- He’d rebuilt them to keep going on days like this when all he’d wanted to do was crawl in bed. And sure, he had toward the end-but he’d functioned for most of the day in spite of the bad feelings threatening to swallow him. “I don’t know. “ He tried to tell him he was pretty sure he’d had a breakdown of some kind but he felt weak for it. Sort of pathetic as it were. It took him a little time to respond to that part of the question, a hand gripped at York’s arm a little nervously. “How proud she was and...his brother would be with him and all this stuff that just doesn’t apply to me.” He looked off to the far wall away from York. “And nobody was here.” -- “I’m sorry I wasn’t here. That I’ve been so useless to you. I want to make you happy.” That was what he wanted. He just wanted Ed to trust him, to love him, and to talk to him. He didn’t want to be shut out. Kissing the Alchemist’s neck again, he carefully rolled off and settled onto his back, then pulled Ed with him, atop him. He’d urge that blonde head down against his chest so he could listen to his heartbeat. “I’ll be better.” He was trying. He was teaching Alphonse, so Alphonse could take up the slack. Of course, that just took Ed’s brother away, too-- but Al was far less important to Ed than York. Of the two, he was the expendable one. A hand came up to tug the tie loose from that long blonde hair, threading his fingers into it. “Let me help you.” --- He did various little thing during the day, but the majority of it? He was alone. Al socialized with him as much as he could, but Ed had limits. Especially if he felt bad that day, he just ended up mostly sticking to himself. Reading a book or drawing pointless bad things in a sketchbook. Though his art had actually improved a little. He could draw a person that didn’t look like a gangly monster now. He’d have to make a side note to show Al later, but for the most part he was just left to his own devices and didn’t have many devices to keep occupied with. He’d considered going a next town over to investigate, but maybe later on when he wasn’t needed nearby. He liked being needed, but he hyper focused on it. “You already worry about everyone else. I didn’t want to add to it.” The house felt so intimidating though, it left him with an unsettling feeling when no one was there. He rested his cheek down against York’s bare chest, absorbing that warmth. “Me too.” He’d try not to shut down on him, he knew York was doing what he could manage. He didn’t want to push him too far. “I wanted to help you though.” --- His arms tightened some around the young man atop him. “You are helping me. You do everything for me, Ed. You’re good to me, and for me.” Letting out a slow breath, the Spartan stared up at the ceiling. “Tell me what you want from me, we have six hours.” Make your requests, Alchemist, he was all yours, six hours. Just no sex, not with Theta. Of course, York was pretty sure sex wasn’t the first thing on Ed’s mind right now. Something else was. His brother. His mother. Something occupied his thoughts and it wasn’t sex (for once). --- Ed slid up just slightly so his head was under York’s chin as he spoke and his fingertips touched York’s chest. Not in a sexual way, just in attempt to soak up some of his presence. What did he want? That was a good question. This was getting better. Just having York that close was helping to lower his defenses again. They weren’t completely rebuilt. After all they hadn’t been placed in a day either. That’d taken years of keeping people at an arms length for that to happen. No, sex actually wasn’t on his mind at all for the first time since he had York in this position. “I don’t know.” Now that he had York home, what did he want? This was good. Just listening to him. Knowing he was there made him feel better. “I could show you the pictures.” He’d forgotten without Delta he was basically blind. “I couldn’t remember anything before when you asked. Not really.” --- He could show him the photos-- but York couldn’t see them. He didn’t care. It was the act of showing them that mattered and he was glad for it. “I’d love to see them.” Of course he would. He wanted to learn all he could, to know everything there was to know. And he wanted Ed to be the one to tell him. “Do you have to get up?” He hoped not, because York didn’t love the idea of having to release the hold he had on his boyfriend. Not just yet. He had six hours to do with that he wanted-- and he wanted to hold onto Ed. --- “I would have to get up, yes.” Which made moving all the more difficult. “...Later then.” He nestled back where he was, content to lie ontop of York until the world came to an end. Or sunrise, whatever happened first. In his arms he could pretend nothing was wrong for a while. It was nice. Not worrying himself to exhaustion, not being alone. Ed always thought he’d do better alone, but now that he’d had a taste of what it was like to be with someone who actually loved him it was hard to be without. “I’ve been making a bit of money. Not a lot, but the farmer down the street had a good year. He gave me cash this time along with the crops.” He couldn’t pay everyone who helped him, but Ed had been helping the man a long time now. “I was going to give it to you later. It’s with the photos.” Ed didn’t really do much with money, he made deals with towns people instead. There were also some new pans and things, but he didn’t think those would be of interest to the Spartan who didn’t really cook so he left it at the money for now. Even if he couldn’t force himself to always be active, he made the times he was active work for them. --- “Mm, no getting up.” He liked it just they way they were now. Though, when Ed said he’d made some money, it made York’s blue eye crack open slowly and he tilted his head some to try and look at the younger man, but as Ed was tucked up under his chin, it was hard. “Money? You don’t have to do that, Ed. I’m more than capable of taking care of you. You and your brother.” And North. Of course, Al was making money now that he was working at the hospital. Not much, but enough. “Don’t feel like you have to do anything you don’t want to. If it’s Alchemy that makes you happy, you should be doing that.” He didn’t have to do odd jobs. Ed just had to be happy. York could take care of the rest. --- Ed had a flesh hand resting on York’s chest near his head as he lie there. Just wanting to be as close as he could for the short while they had. “It hasn’t been lately.” The blonde responded simply enough, so not only had everything just been hard, alchemy hadn’t been inspiring him recently but he hadn’t said anything about it. He was idealess with it. The only idea he’d had came from someone else, and while it was good, Ed didn’t work on it all day. “I know you can, but what am I going to do while you’re at work otherwise? Stay home by myself all day?...I do some days, but I need something to do. I don’t feel like doing it everyday, and I don’t. But some days it’s okay.” --- “So why don’t you try drawing? Your brother’s really good at it, talent like that can run in families.” So said Delta. “He’s drawn me and North a few times. You wanna give it a try?” York would be more than happy to lay around and let Ed try to draw him. What? He was good at lying around. Hell, he was about to do it for the next six hours. “You say you aren’t good at doing small things with Alchemy, maybe you should try that? Get better at stuff you aren’t good with?” There were tons of things Ed could do. Hadn’t anyone ever given him something to entertain him? Something to keep him interested? --- “I tried that, best result I got was a squidgy looking person. At least I think it was a person.” Ed responded with a bit of uncertainty. No, people drawing wasn’t his forte. “Might have been a dog.” Yeah that was how bad it’d looked. “Pretty sure art skipped a generation with me.” Or you know, because he an Al weren’t actually related. He ran a few fingers along the lines of one of York’s muscles idly. He was restless and unhappy a lot lately, everything he’d done in the past for entertainment had been for the sake of survival. Now they didn’t have to worry about that, only godforsaken boredom. --- “What happened to the living metal you were working on back at Knowhere? Did you ever figure it out? You could work on that.” What more could he suggest? He didn’t know enough about Alchemy, and while Delta did, he wasn’t currently in York’s head to give suggestions. “What else, aside from Alchemy? You were enjoying technology, right? You liked rockets? We can work on that. I can help with it.” York, after all, knew all about technology. It was one of his specialities. It was something they could do together. --- “All the notes got destroyed with the tribbles.” Ed shrugged a bit, pressing a gentle kiss to his jawline. Just an affectionate thing. The ideas were giving him some sort of energy though, something to fall back on so he considered them. The blonde shook his head. “A place like this doesn’t need rockets.” He didn’t want to bring dangerous things to somewhere that reminded him of home. “But maybe you can teach me about electronic wiring.” That was something he needed to know about for Marco’s superchargers. “Marco wants to make something...but I’m not entirely sure what a super charger is.” He admitted awkwardly. He’d nodded along with it, but really hadn’t had a clue. --- “Then start over again. The second try is always better than the first. You’ll get it this go around, and you’ll have plenty of time to work on it.” His fingers stroked through Ed’s hair lovingly. He adored it. He hoped the other man never cut it. Electric wiring? “Yeah, of course. I can teach you about electric wiring, and super chargers. What’s he looking to make? There are a lot of different kinds, they do different things, give off different power. We can go over anything you want.” York would love to teach the younger man, he would love to help Ed anyway he could. --- A lot of the reason he’d kept his hair long now was because York liked it. Sometimes he considered cutting it since it did actually get in his way pretty often but he probably wouldn’t unless it got longer than it was. He liked York playing with it the way he did. Much like a cat he leaned into that touch and let his eyes slide half shut until York spoke again. “Don’t know yet, he’s supposed to come by at some point…” See, Ed was trying to continue on in spite of his current struggles. He hadn’t entirely shut the world out yet. Marco had to be the one to initiate it though, Ed had become a bit of a recluse lately save for the little tasks he kept doing mostly to keep himself from totally becoming a recluse. Now? He was just a small one. “I need to know what it’s components are. What it’s made of mostly..” Ed knew a fair amount of the things that went into the rockets thanks to Alfons, but not how to create them out of alchemy. --- “Well, when he comes over, take good notes. I'm going to need as much information as you can give me, to make sure that I'm giving you the right information in return. There are a lot of details that go into those, and you get one wrong, you ruin the whole thing.” Which would make no one happy, of course. Shifting some beneath Ed, York drew his legs up a little, causing one of Ed’s to fall between his own, and the other to fall outside of his larger thigh. That was more comfortable. “I'm glad you're spending time with Marco. He seems like a good guy.” But York understood why Ed disliked him so much. --- “Hm..That sounds complicated..” Ed made a noise as he listened and nodded a bit, blinking in light surprise as he slid between his legs when York moved. Shifting so he could rest his cheek against York’s chest instead of underneath his chin this time. “I missed this.” Just laying with York even if they weren’t having sex. It wasn’t exactly a dislike, it was more of a confusion. “I guess.” Being social was still hard for Ed sometimes, and the fact that Marco had something he wanted so badly, it made him hard to hang out with like a normal person. “Seems tiring.” He admitted, not being the most social of the group. Fingernails idly toyed with some of his exposed skin. --- There was plenty of skin to explore, as York was in little else but boxer briefs. Ed hadn't thrown any pants at him tonight, so he'd gone without. He had hoped that brief release for Ed would have been enough to satisfy him for the night. He knew how frustrated his boyfriend was. He would make it up to him, he swore. “I'll always come home to you.” Ed never had to miss him. He would always be there. But the tone of his voice was enough to say he was beginning to fall asleep under the weight of his boyfriend. It was relaxing for him. It was the only way he really ever fell asleep, if someone was atop him. Usually it was North, but since North had gone, it'd been Ed. He did best when he had one on either side. Was that any surprise? --- The brief release wasn’t all that satisfying to Ed, but t had release some of the pent up frustration at least so there was that. It’d done the job, it just wasn’t exactly the most romantic thing in the moment. It was what it was, he still got time with York and that was what mattered. He kneaded at his boyfriend’s skin much like a cat as he drifted off. His cheek rested on York’s stomach and his arm settled ontop of him. He was relaxed and that mattered to Ed, he wanted him to be comfortable enough to sleep and it wouldn’t be long before the younger man drifted off again on top of him. Sleep hadn’t lasted all that long for Ed though, a couple hours at best before he shifted against him uncomfortably. A pair of empty eyes in the form of a woman stared at him in the shadows of his mind. A creature that might have once been human twisted in his memory. It then began to slip back like a spider into the darkness, dragging his brother with him that had somehow appeared with it. Ed jerked awake, he hadn’t dreamt about his mother in forever. Beads of sweat had gathered on his skin, the blonde had to get up. He slipped away toward the bathroom to wash his face in the sink and lean on it for a moment in attempt to wash away the memory. --- Ed wouldn’t be alone for long. When he looked up into the mirror to stare at his own damp face, he’d find the shape of his boyfriend behind him, leaning in the doorway, just watching with tired eyes. His arms were crossed over his chest and he looked strangely serious standing there, attention focused entirely upon Ed. “Nightmare?” He asked softly, intending for the words to stay just between the two of them. Not that anyone else was home, but still. --- When he looked up and saw York in his mirror he felt bad for waking him and nodded as he lent there just letting some of the water drip off him into the sink. “ Yeah. Sorry..” He’d woken him. York was tired, and so was he. He’d been stretched mentally thin, struggling to adjust to things and it’d just snuck through. “I’m sorry. It’s okay.” He repeated with a slightly shaky tone as he gripped at the sink for a moment before reaching over to reach for the towel near by to get the rest of the larger water droplets on it. He didn’t know what else to say as he put the towel back after and let his hand lower into his palm to rub his eyes. It was so real. --- “Don’t apologize to me.” He pushed away from the door jam, uncrossing his arms and coming forward. He didn’t head directly for the shorter man, though.. Instead, he moved for the toilet, a hand reaching out to close the lid so he could sit on it, then he was moving strong fingers out to catch that metal wrist and tug gently. He’d pull Ed towards him and if allowed, straight into his lap. He’d urge Ed to straddle him, so they were facing one another. “If you have a nightmare, I want you to wake me up. I want to be here to help.” He pressed a palm against the younger man’s cheek, cupping it and rubbing his thumb along a cheekbone. “I’m here.” He wouldn’t leave the Alchemist alone. --- He looked up as his wrist was caught and he didn’t fight being brought into York’s lap. “Sorry. “ He said again out of habit and then bit his lip to stop apologizing as he let his forehead fall gently against that broad shoulder. “I know. It just..I haven’t had one in a long time.” He sat there facing him, trying not to feel ridiculous about the nightmares. He’d had a lot of them when they were first getting to know eachother so it wasn’t as if York was any stranger to him being wide awake in the middle of the night, but it hadn’t happened recently. “Same dream. I know it wasn’t my mom, but..it looked like her.” It still unnerved him. He looked up as York’s hand touched him and he leaned into it. Eyes closing. “I thought I was over this.” --- “Well,” he began after a moment, “If I’d been doing my job right, you wouldn’t have had the nightmare at all, so it’s not your fault, the blame is on me.” He should have kept the nightmare away. Using that cupping hand, he drew Ed’s face up and in, so he could press their mouths together and hold the kiss for a moment, thumb stroking along that cheek as he did. “Tell me.” His quiet demand. He wanted to hear Ed say it, he wanted Ed to think about him, instead of the thing that had once been his mother. He wanted his boyfriend focused on him. He might not be over having nightmares, but York could help with them. He wanted to. --- The blonde frowned at that, he didn’t blame York. He blame himself for not being strong enough to stop them himself. He hadn’t had many since he was younger and suffered them frequently. It had startled him, but he didn’t want York to blame himself. He didn’t realize he’d become so dependant on him for it, and he knew he needed to be stronger than he was-he needed to figure out how to refortify those walls he’d built at the start without blocking York out too. Without pushing everyone away. He returned that kiss, automail resting on York’s shoulder this time to solidify that something solid was there. Once it broke and those soft words came, he gave a small but involuntary smile as he let the eye closest to York’s thumb close slightly. “I love you, even if you are demanding.” It seemed to help, the fear that had settled in his eyes earlier seemed to have melted away as his attention was brought to the man in front of him. “I’ll be better.” He had gotten so used to York always being there that the whole thing had been hard. He’d always been accessible to Ed, but with North gone, things had changed. Ed didn’t handle change well and doubly so when he tried to do it on his own. --- “You don’t have to be better, you’re already perfect.” Reassured as he drew Ed in for another kiss, then wrapped his arms around him and held on. “I love you just as you are, metal limbs, nightmares, jealous nature, and crazy little brother included.” A second kiss met against the Alchemist’s lips, this time lingering, before York pressed their cheeks together and just held on tightly. “I said you were perfect and I meant it. Don’t change. You’re welcome to grow and evolve all you want, but don’t change. Not for me. I love everything about you.” Turning his head, he pressed a kiss to the younger man’s cheek, but didn’t release the hold he had on him. No, Ed was stuck right where he was. Sorry, Elric. --- At the very least those earlier feelings of worthlessness hadn’t returned being there in York’s presence. It seemed to help, he had York to focus on. His eyes closed partially at the touch of York’s lips and a small smile crept into his own. Anyone else being that close might have caused a panic attack from the younger man, but York managed to bring him a sense of calm in their unstable little world. His flesh hand reached to touch York’s neck, thumb brushing against the skin just under his jawline. “I’m far from perfect, but so long as you like it that’s all that matters.” He gave him an affectionate little nudge with his nose as he was brought in like that and already seemed to be feeling better as silly as all this probably looked. It went miles in making him feel more comfortable around the Spartan. He hadn’t even thrown any pants at him yet. He was a complete mess, but if York wanted him..then he had some merit. His arms wrapped around York’s neck as he was drawn close like that. He knew how awkward this was, it couldn’t have been comfortable for him and yet Ed wanted nothing about the moment to change. He returned the second kiss, allowing it to linger for as long as York wanted to kiss him. He had a fleeting moment of wishing Theta would just...go offline for a minute or two, but he couldn’t expect that from the little A.I., so he took what he could get. --- North would be back soon enough, Ed wouldn’t have to wish much longer. “You’re right, it is all that matters.” And with that, the Spartan was standing, linking his hands beneath Ed’s rump and holding him up as he headed back for the bed, carefully laying the Alchemist down, then settling down on his own. A strong arm pulled the other blonde closer and he set his chin atop that long-haired crown. “Go back to sleep.” He urged gently. Ed clearly needed it, and York had to be to work in two hours.. But he had two hours to watch over his boyfriend and make sure he slept well. |
