Lux had been trying to think of a good way to get Lincoln used to the food here. If he didn't have more than broth he was going to end up starving to death. Slowly but surely. It wasn't enough to sustain him, and she knew that throwing different foods at him wasn't going to be the best idea, either. Especially when he had so many worries about chewing and choking. So Lux came up with a rather brilliant idea, if she did say so herself.
She'd spent her first night home that night since Ezreal had been misted back home. It had... been a lot. The house still smelled like him. Kas was refusing to come inside, preferring to hang out in the barn with Starfire now. Everywhere Lux looked, there were reminders of him. Not to mention - his notebooks, everywhere. Where he'd written things about her, too. Not just his adventures or discoveries, inventions, things he was tinkering with. No, he wrote about her, too.
So in order to make it through the night, Lux had put all her energy into finding something that Lincoln could eat. After a lot of googling, a quick trip to the grocery store and several attempts later, Lux had what she assumed would be the perfect starter food for Lincoln: Overnight oats. She didn't add anything fancy to it, only a little bit of honey and a little bit of milk so that it was just sweet enough to be enjoyable but not so much that he would be surprised or thrown off by it.
Hopefully.
With the oatmeal in hand, Lux hopped on Starfire. Kas trailed behind for a little while before going back to the barn, but Starfire and Lux road fast down the streets and through the trees until, all along the edges as best they could until she was back at Pickman. "Be careful, love. Stay in the backyard, I'll come get you soon okay?" She said to her horse, kissing him on his nose before heading inside to find Lincoln's room.
With a soft knock, Lux called out to him. "Lincoln? It's me, Lux!"
