late afternoon, 29 march | ⚠ drowning, sea gods, hurricane type weather tldr: diana stops the rain for a few hours and temporarily loses herself (literally) in the process
Diana looked up at the sky as she stepped outside, casting up a rain cover as she did. Rain still fell from the sky, but the yard remained dry. She sprinkled salt in a circle with a wave of her hand, casting a protective circle to keep herself and the few who had come over keep an eye on things safe from the attention of the Sea God. She cursed him silently, thinking of Sabrina. While they weren't siblings, Sabrina was still one of her closest friends here, and one she thought of as a sister figure, and she hated that she couldn't do more. But if she could do at least this little bit to help, maybe it would give some of the others some time to prepare, to plan an attack against the god.
She was a weaver. Blessed by the goddess, and Diana knew she needed to believe in herself to do this. She had been practicing a little more with her water recently, and this was going to be bigger than anything she had tried before. Witch wind might be needed to help control some of the hurricane winds, but if she had planned this through correctly, then she'd stop this storm.
Circle cast, Diana stood in the center, pushing her sleeves up to her elbows. The colors that ran along her forearms swirled, and Diana glanced back to the others for a moment, giving a small nod of thanks before she began, plucking threads and weaving them into a net of sorts, tying off the final knot before tossing it up, holding both hands out, palms up. Her eyes flashed, and she drew the clouds toward her, drawing the rain into a column above her, funneling it through herself.
It took some time to pull the entire storm, but the rain and winds slowed. The sky didn't clear, but the rain no longer fell. Instead, it flowed through Diana, her body eventually fading as she turned to water herself. One final burst of power and the rain stopped entirely; she collapsed to the ground, keeping her form, but translucent.
[OOC - the storm stops for the town after the locals have evacuated. Diana has turned to water herself, but as she regains her form over the next several hours, the rains will return]
