ALISON & ENJOLRAS "Mama-" haunted dolls and who knows • 8 february ⚠ hauntings, ghosts, tbd complete
The shop had been mostly busy that morning, and Alison had been early working on some final alterations and ordering some other requested items for the upcoming lobster celebrations. There was finally a lull in the crowds, and so she was going down all the rows, returning items to their spots and tidying up as she went. There was soft music playing through the speakers, and staff was at the counter or in other spots of the shop, Jimmy relaxing in the front window. Alison hummed along as she worked, focusing on her tasks.
All in all, it was easy enough. Until she reached the dressing rooms. Piles of clothes had been left inside the stalls, and when she moved them out, there was a wet spot and..she wasn't even entirely sure what it was on the floors. Gross.
Sighing, Alison made sure that everything that was in the other stalls were hung up before moving to the janitorial closet to find some cleaning supplies. She brought the cart over, finding a disinfectant and spraying the space down, letting it soak while she started on the mirrors.
She hadn't had a reflection in months, so it wasn't any surprise to her that she still didn't. Alison fell quiet as she reached up, wiping down the mirrors. When she set the cloth back on the cart she turned back around, screaming in surprise as she was startled by her reflection in the mirror, and the appearance of the doll on the bench.
"Mama-"
Its voice was almost mechanical, high pitched, but not too loud. The head turned toward Alison and she screamed again as its arms raised in her direction.
