A lot of people have come and gone in the past several weeks, and as a result, I just wanted to let those of you who might not be aware know that we have different groups that meet at MIST, as well as mental health services:

Support Group: Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm
Addicts Anonymous: Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm

As the resident therapist, I'm Dr. Theo Crain. You can schedule a 50 minute session with me that can be weekly, bi-weekly, or however often you need, or you can stop by my office at Mist anytime the door is open if you'd just like to talk informally.

	Aces, thanks. And I guess I just wondered, because ~~I feel like I'm going ma~~ ~~well~~ mental health and therapy and that weren't really something my family took seriously. Just How does it work? With you? Back home a friend was telling me she thought it'd be good for me to talk to somebody, but I don't. Really know what to do, or like how you start. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Unfortunately, a lot of families are that way; however, more and more these days, people are coming to realize that therapy isn't something bad and doesn't mean someone is broken or crazy, it's just a way to work things out.

We just talk. The first appointment is usually just general intake questions to see if there's something specific you want to talk about or work through, and find out what you want out of therapy. After that session, we'd just talk about different things - what's going on in your life, what might've happened to you recently, or in the far past - it all depends on your reasons for going to therapy.

	Yes, it does. Sometimes it helps to get things out and if you're not sure what to do, a therapist can help provide coping mechanisms and such. Sometimes, it just helps to hear things out loud. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	No problem. No, it doesn't matter - I've had a few vampire and werewolf patients here, and others with abilities ~~and I just don't think too hard about it~~. I've also had experiences with ghosts at home in the past, so I can handle them. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	If it gets overwhelming, no one would mind if you have to take some time to yourself. That happens to a lot of us. ~~My si~~ I had experiences, I didn't exactly know them, or not really. And I'm not, but I do have a certain ability that allows me to sort of sense some things, though it's strongest through physical contact. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
