Quentin didn't know how long ago it had been since his night at Alexis' place, how long he'd been in Todash Space, there was no good way of tracking the time. And the circumstances were more than a little bit fucked there, so he'd been a little more focused on that than he had been keeping track of time. He'd sent his message, and he had to hope that was enough, like Eliot had done once, put everything he had into sending one last message, just one moment before he'd been swallowed up by the monster again, but it had been enough. And Quentin had chosen to believe his message had been enough as well.
And then it had happened, a break in the barrier between worlds, a portal and Margo had been there pulling him back through again, back to Dunwich and the life he'd made there and none it had felt real. Even after the portal had closed, even after the hugs and the thanks no small amount of tears. He still felt a little outside himself.
And then it was just two, everyone had gone off, to talk about the magic they'd used, or just back home again and it was just Quentin and Filip left. "I-" He started and stopped, exhaling. "You got my message." It was so stupid, that fucking rabbit showing up there, but it had worked. He was going to have to find it later, and figure out where it had come from. But he had bigger issues to deal with right then.
