So Anon knows what offices are (vague), as well as churches (a little less vague), and that churches are a good thing (so probably not from around here). Then we can add the fact that a) they're here anonymously, b) no idea what the internet is, apparently, c) they didn't ask about a GPS or anything like that.
I think we're ready to make some assumptions. They're from some canon set on Earth, I'd wager. They aren't a half-crazed animal (lol), and they think a church can help them. But they're also literate. So, I'm guessing they're from some point in the past, but not too far back.
I think what we need to suggest is - hey, dude, hit up a gas station (the place where the metal monster things keep stopping to fill themselves up with that liquid that makes the hair in your nostrils burn). They have beef jerky and maps AND corn nuts. Holla.
