Connor B, Dylan T
[Voicemail left for Connor B and Dylan T]
There was a shipment of something last evening. Six boxes, all rather large. I didn't have a chance to look inside before they were whisked away again. I've no idea who picked them up, but they were impressively large, and they smelled of gun oil. The men, not the boxes, though I didn't have a chance to sniff them, either. The boxes, not the men. They didn't want tea, which I was thankful of, since they reminded me of people I didn't care for. I have to admit that I'm having seconds thoughts about this entire business. I've no desire to end up on the wrong side of the gun oil men. A girl mad as birds, Dylan Thomas. Connor, I've nothing to annoy you with but my prattle. Do be a dear and tell me what annoys you best in the world so I can- [And, thankfully, she's cut off.]

Define 'impressively large'. Can you give rough specifications?

I'm not easily annoyed.

The size of a crate each, roughly. Everyone has something that annoys them. Unless you're robotic. As we've never met, I suppose it's entirely possible.

Size of a crate? A description in feet would be helpful, how wide and how tall. I'm not robotic, but I'm also not easily annoyed. Maybe I just don't match up to your categories, and there's a grey area you didn't know about between robotism and annoyance.

Next time, I'll make them wait so I can properly measure.

I only want to know what might feasibly fit inside. Were they long and rectangular? Square? Did the men strain with the weight of the boxes, and did they seem to have a hard time lifting them, implying they were comparatively heavy for their size? To guess what was inside them and make use of your observations, I need to know if they were full of handguns, assault rifles, drugs, bodies, birthday gifts for their daughters, or something else. I can't eliminate anything without knowing rough size and shape.

They were the size of crates. You know, the plastic ones with holes that they sell at economy stores for people who can't afford real storage boxes. They were heavy enough to require two people to carry each. Is that sufficient?

Exactly what I was looking for, thanks. Still having second thoughts?

It's complicated.
