Because we're in a desert and it makes more sense to dehydrate with alcohol.

Alcohol seems overkill at 8am and coffee is just vile. Unless it's Italian.

The only coffee I've been able to find has been this place called Starbucks. It's all very sweet and bitter at the same time.

Starbucks is the Denny's of the coffee world. You only go there if you're late for work.
