how were you when you took the act or the sat? i was just looking at a college until i realized i had to take those (i'm not sure if its one or both) tests and now i'm all bummed out because i don't think i can take either one of those tests because of the math :[

what religion were you raised to believe in? what do you believe in now?
I was raised as a nondenominational Christian, now I'm agnostic but follow a lot of Buddhist practices.

i voted to keep it just because i'm so used to it and i don't really feel as though its forcing religion down peoples throats, though i could see why people would be opposed to it. to be honest it wouldn't bother me either way.

so the semester is coming down to an end. thank god. but this means finals/end of semester project time. what's all the work that you have to do?
i have to write a 3-4 page paper due tomorrow about Utopia
a 5 page paper about a white abolitionist and a black resister
a 5 page paper about a movie and analyze it's gender roles
and a 5-6 page paper i don't even know what about yet, but it's for the same class at the first paper on my list, which means it'll be hard and dragging my feet the whole time.
next week i have a homework assignment due (idk what it is yet) and i have to make up an exam for extra credit.
and then i have a final exam 2 weeks from tonight
also, what do you prefer for finals? papers or tests? i much much much prefer tests. i hate writing papers. they scare me. :(

So, I absolutely love Elliott Smith.
My boyfriend happened to sit next to his anthropology professor on the bus today, and as their topics moved to music, he mentioned my Elliott Smith obsession.
His professor proceeded to tell him that he dated Elliott Smith's sister awhile back, and therefore knew Elliott quite well before he died. Apparently Elliott's sister lives less then an hour away from my dorms too.
I think my brain shut off for a moment, I was in such shock.

Is anyone else's AIM being weird? Mine hasn't worked since like 4 this afternoon. It will log me in, but no one on my buddy list shows up. It does this for multiple usernames. Idgi.

i wrote an 8-page semiotic analysis of the cabo episode of laguna beach, which was hilarious to do, and i got an A- on it. haha
