MARCH 1976: TRUE LOVE
FORMAT: Journal entry.
WHO: Lee Mackenzie, Rosie Clemens, Alex Lovegood, Cody Hadlock, Jeana Wood, Edgar Bones.
WHEN: March 23, 1976 (September 21, 2004)
WHAT: Lee reflects on Alex's engagement to Leona! Presumably at this point we knew we were going to do Lexy/Cody, so we decided to have everyone make really ironic statements.
It's weird, to think that Alex and Leona are engaged. Because you know, it wasn't even 6 -- not even 5 -- months ago that we went to the Hallow'een dance together. It's just weird to think how much changes in such little time. I mean, at the Hallow'een dance ... most of you didn't have these, I barely talked to half of you, me and Remus had just hooked up, I'd never really talked with Cody, all of that recent ... business hadn't even occured to me as being within the realm of possibility ... I know that life can change in less than a second, but it's just so odd to have demonstrations. Every single action we make is us forsaking an endless number of possible futures. Life's kind of amazing. We should never take it for granted. -L. Mackenzie Rosie Clemens ... whoa. I didn't realize it was that long ago that that happened. I think I vaguely knew of your existance then. I might have talked to you a few times, through Ronnie. It is, and we really shouldn't. Lee Mackenzie Alexander Lovegood Yeah, I remember that. The Halloween dance was fun. I'm glad I got to go with you, Lee. I still liked you then. Not Leona. But I love Leona now, and that's all that matters, because we're engaged (hee!)! I know. I'm not. That's one of the reasons I'm marrying her, when everyone's saying I'm too young -- you never know what life will bring you, and this second, marrying Leona is something I know I want to do, so I'm doing it, no matter what they say. Lee Mackenzie Cody Hadlock This is one of the things I love the most about you, Lee, your willingness to accept change whole-heartedly. I've met many people in my life, but few of them are so willing to live freely, the way you do. You amaze me. Lee Mackenzie Jeana Wood Exactly what I think, Lee. But with better wording! Lee Mackenzie Edgar Bones Definitely, definitely, definitely weird. Lee Mackenzie |
