"I don't really have time." Maeko said, shaking her head. It was partly true, she had school and work and fighing for her own and others' lives to deal with already and she'd be setting up this club for Misaki come termtime if they were still doing that. But more than not having time she valued her time away from Kanaye as much as she valued her time with him.

Maeko froze for a second as Misaki patted her hand. She'd only recently changed the dressings, she'd had to remove them and wash her hands after they'd got wet in the sea. She shook it off quickly enough, though.

"He'll be fine. If he's having trouble why not talk to his teacher about it?" She suggested and then nodded, thinking.

"Because if she's not going to support you then it's going to take a lot more planning to make it supporting yourself. Now's as good a time to start as any."

"Ohhhh," she nodded some understanding. "Hummm, I guess I can keep helping out then. But with the new club and cooking...urgh, that's right. I'm going to have to face Keiichi. This is going to suck a lot. I mean I know we can be friends but just...I don't know what to say, and if people still think we're going out, and they find out we're not, the girls may find this an oppertunity to start muscleing in on him, or something. A lot of them joined in the hope of getting credit for Home Ec."

Pulling her knees up she frowned some, "If I'm going to be president of Cooking next year, I'm going to probably let Kai-senpai take control of the fashion club then for his last year." She looked at Maeko and smiled, "I still want to do that you know. I haven't given up on it."

Misaki gave a weak nod as she tugged at her hair, "I wonder if that's true. I mean teacher's can help but do they all care, or want to help. They have their own lives to lead, and that means there's a chance of...something...like maybe they won't help out because they're scared of the students."

Looking up at the sky she nodded, "Yeah...I was looking into scholarships and such. Next summer, I'm working full time. It will stink that I probably won't get to go anywhere, but if it helps pay the bills and such." She looked again at Maeko, "What about you? Are you looking into colleges?"

"If you stopped helping out the teams you'd have to start attending gym again anyway, you know." Maeko pointed out, standing up and rearranging her skirt before sitting down again. "And..." She trailed off, unsure of how to word this but then started again, sounding a little more doubtful but at least trying. If she didn't start learning to tell Misa things she didn't want to hear then they'd all build up and explode again. "...if you're not dating any more it's not really muscling in. He has every right to have someone else now."

"If you're sure that's okay, I guess...A club with a second year as boss would probably be accepted more easily. Oh, but he's new. It might not make much of a difference." She smiled, done with the tangent. "In that case I'll try my best to get it running. But once it's there you have to do your part too."

She shook her head. "It's not about 'wanting to help'. It's thier job to help. If they don't then they really don't deserve to get paid."

She gave gestures of exaggerated mock-thought - pinching her chin and then tapping the side of her head with a finger - and then shook her head. "No clue. But I think I'll be fine to go anywhere I can actually get into if I keep working. Ive been saving up for a loong time now."

Misaki sighed and kintted her fingers together, and looked at Maeko, "That's very true, and I would rather not have to run around the track unless I had to. And...I guess what I'm worried about is someone taking advantage of him. I know I'm not the sharpest needle in the bunch, but I don't want someone who'd just use Keiichi-kun to start dating him suddenly."

Misaki gave a nod, "Of course! I plan to do everything that I can, and use what I've learned as Vice president of the Cooking club to make sure this is run as smoothly as possible."

"But what if they only teach to get paid? I wonder just...really how many teachers in the school care about the students?" She asked and pulled her fingers apart. "I wish I had some string to play with right now."

Misaki chuckled, "That's what I like a lot about you Maeko-chan. You're always thinking like three or four steps ahead of just about everyone."
