The door to Ito Keiichi's room was open; presumably after Renju had come to wish him well and scolded him about getting up to answer the door, he'd felt it necessary to leave it open and remain in bed.

Sonozaki-san could be, he'd noted, somewhat imposing when she'd wanted to be.

Her soup was long finished. It had been excellent, if rather spicy. Luckily, the package of water bottles under his bed was still holding out.

There might be more visitors, he knew. So best to stay somewhat coherent.

	When Keiichi lifted both weapons, Tom felt the long line from his shoulder to his stomach begin to itch. But he ignored it. He slipped a hand into his pocket and examined the sword. "A shorter sword would work better with that shield. You want the shield to function like a wall. But that reduces your mobility. You want your secondary weapon to be faster."
