It was only 10am but Suzuki Suzume, big sister and/or energetic bane of everyone everywhere, had been up since 5. Which had, of course, likely been horrible for her roommate.

She'd sent out constant text messages since 7, with 'how to get there from pretty much anywhere in Iburi using public transport' instuctions, and arranged for Seiko to drive people who might have trouble with the train.  She'd been trying to barter the entry prices down since 8, since they were a big party, and managed to get at least a small discount. After which a 'hey, say you're with Suzusuzu-nee and you'll get in cheaper' message went out. And she'd been blowing up and tying balloons since 9.

And now it was 10. And the park was open. And she'd been doing stretches and encouraging those who were there early to do likewise (warm up those muscles! The water might be cold!).

And now it was time to reap the rewards of her efforts.

Kozue in a swimsuit.


Awesome.

"I met her mother once, she's nice, but her dad....she's very protective of him." Misaki explained.

"Tomako's not annoying, much..." Misaki said crossing her arms. "Goldilocks..."

"Yes but I still don't get the whole, keep everything silent, don't even talk in the house, rules." Misaki admitted to him. "Of course it's logical. I'm protective of my father too."

She lowered her eye lids and sent a huge wave of water at him, "You can be more annoying then he can Senpai."

"Neither do I. I don't care if he's deaf, there's closed captioning, and even if he doesn't want to see it, it doesn't mean he has to force Maeko and his wife to do the same thing. It seems kind of selfish."

"A bit yes, worse when you impose that on people that are visiting," Misaki said with a shiver suddenly. But quickly regained her composer. "Maeko-chan doesn't see it that way."

Splash twice, "You are of her though."

"Exactly. Maeko even had to make me quiet down, no matter how loud I was, because she didn't want her neighbors to hear us. It was hard, but..." He shrugged. "Anything for Maeko-chan."

"No I'm not!" Kanaye splashed. "I'm normally protective."

"I don't think it's good for her, seriously. She needs sound. She's not like her father, she can talk, and I think that it's hurting her." Misaki explained to him. Then glared. If Kanaye actually looked at her face, he would notice that her contacts were not in and she had light brown eyes.

"You're protective isn't normal," Misaki splashed back.

"That's what I'm saying! I mean, seriously, I know she won't admit it, but it's hurting her..." Kanaye blinked at the glare and the brown eyes. "What's that for, Misaki-san?" He asked, confused.

"I dunno, I think my protective is normal enough!" Kanaye splashed and laughed.

"Uh, oh sorry I was thinking of something else for a moment." She said and shook her head, "She won't listen though. Even if you told her she would say it was normal to not talk. Even with the window open she didn't want to talk."

"Oh really," she sent a wave of water at him, "i would disagree with that.

Kanaye blinked. Then he realized what he said and blushed. "I-I mean, talking! I-I...Um." Kanaye quieted down. "I mean talking. Yes. We didn't do anything. At all. Of course not."

Still blushing, Kanaye nodded. "Yeah. And she won't accept help, so..."

Kanaye was too busy blushing, so he dived under the water. While there, he noticed Misaki's legs...

He grabbed one and pulled.

Misaki paused then burst out laughing at the blushing. "I wouldn't think you would do anything with her Kanyae-senpai."

She yelped as she went under and tried to kick him off her.

Kanaye laughed and went back above water, gasping for breath. He paused a bit and rested on one of the sides of the pool.

Misaki waited under water for a moment, musing at the fact that, suprisingly she was enjoying time with Kanaye. It was a bit odd to her that he could be fun when he wanted to be. That is when he wasn't being completely into his own world.

She hesitated for just a second, considering the choices, then grabbed hold of his leg from under the water and pulled hard swam as quickly as she could while holding his ankle with two hands. She let go after a minute coming up for air and smirked, "Tit for tat, Senpai."

After coming up himself, Kanaye coughed a bit and looked at Misaki weirdly. "The heck does that mean?" Kanaye figured that out quickly enough, but was still puzzled. "Better question, what?"

"Alright I'm sorry that I got mad at you for stareing at Kozue, but I just find it rather rude in a way," Misaki explained. "I know they were, but there's a difference here Kanaye-senpai. Firstly, I know you still care a lot about Maeko-chan, and it worries me that if people see you looking at Kozue-chan too much then they will get the wrong idea. If things started to get around that you were seen watching her, how much do you want to bet that it will wind up all over school that you two are apparently dating. Not only would that hurt Kozue-chan with Oubai-senpai, because I don't think she cheats on her boyfriends, but it will hurt Maeko-chan because she likes you."

Misaki looked at him directly, "And to borrow something you said to me a long time ago, to her it would be like you were comparing her to Kozue-chan. You know how she thinks and acts. She'd probably start pushing you away more."

"Secondly," she lowered her voice so that he could only hear her, "You and I both know that it's less likely that Kozue-chan would like it if she knew that Renju-san was stareing. I get the sense that, she probably wouldn't appricate it. And more or less I know Kouze-chan wouldn't go after you, but...I don't know if she's doing so well with Oubai-senpai. I mean he's not the most, ah...passionate of people, so if you push her too much, she might fall back on you. And if you really are after Maeko-chan, how is that going to look to her."

"That is why I got mad at you." Misaki explained and rested her head at the edge of the pool. "If you were really over Maeko-chan I could care less who you stare at, but you still like her. Not only that, but would you really like it if some guys were stareing at her butt while she was walking down the hall. To be honest there were a few college guys admiring the view when she was walking with you earlier, and not in your nice way of admireing either."
