It was only 10am but Suzuki Suzume, big sister and/or energetic bane of everyone everywhere, had been up since 5. Which had, of course, likely been horrible for her roommate.

She'd sent out constant text messages since 7, with 'how to get there from pretty much anywhere in Iburi using public transport' instuctions, and arranged for Seiko to drive people who might have trouble with the train. She'd been trying to barter the entry prices down since 8, since they were a big party, and managed to get at least a small discount. After which a 'hey, say you're with Suzusuzu-nee and you'll get in cheaper' message went out. And she'd been blowing up and tying balloons since 9.

And now it was 10. And the park was open. And she'd been doing stretches and encouraging those who were there early to do likewise (warm up those muscles! The water might be cold!).

And now it was time to reap the rewards of her efforts.

Kozue in a swimsuit.

Awesome.

Misaki came out of the dressing room smiling and giggling excitedly.

"Come on Keiikun, I'm sure the others are here," Misaki smiled cheefully, dressed in her round the neck white one peice swimsuit. A red flower design was around her waist and she had wrapped a white short wrap around her hips and had sun sandels on to walk the grounds. Her hair was pulled back, and a pair of shades were on top of her head, along with a rainbow colored jaguar print beach bag slung over her arm carrying towels, some water, sunscreen and other things one might need in the event of something happening at the park.

She looked around and noticed Masaya and waved to him. "Masaya-san you mande it!"

Masaya perked up almost instantly when he saw Misaki. Finally, a friendly face!

"Hey...uh, Misaki-san!" he called, waving to her and walking over quickly, blue board shorts flapping as he moved. "I came out a bit early. I had to get out of the house."

She was his underclassman, but oh well - Masaya felt no shame in admitting that he thought Misaki looked good in her swimsuit. If only he could convince her to ditch the bag...

Masaya was energized by Misaki's very prescence, and it showed. He was smiling more and acting more "spastic" - as he would put it if he saw anyone else acting like it - now that she was around.

"Thanks, Misaki-san!" He looked out over the park. "I usually just take the water slides a bunch of times when I come, but do you like that? Would you want to go swimming instead?" He put a hand on her shoulder - just friendly, honest - and smiled at her.

	"You want to? With me? That would be great! I haven't gone on slides in a while! I'd love to go with you." Misaki beamed happily and nodded. "We can go swimming too, and the wave pool I hear is a lot of fun!" She gave him a tight hug suddenly, "Thanks for coming Masaya-san! We're going to have a lot of fun I'm sure!" Masaya looked at the water slides, judging the various lines. He didn't feel like waiting, but it was a nice enough day that there were a lot of people at the park.

He pointed towards a line that was medium length, but had fewer people from their group in it. He wanted to talk to her without getting interrupted by the others. "Let's get into that one - I like this ride." He didn't - it was disappointingly short, actually, but he could at least go down first and then be there when Misaki came down.

"Okay then, the line doesn't look that long, it's not as high as the other slides. They look a bit intimdiating don't you think? I'd be a bit nervous going down them on my own." Misaki said standing in the line with him, after grabbing his arm to get him in line with her.

"I'm glad you made it! I was worried that you wouldn't come after what happened with Senpai and everything. OH there's an arcade here too, so if you want a air hocky rematch I'm all for it."

She grinned and laughed, "I've been trying to practice on the tabletops at work when I have time."

So much physical contact today! He'd almost died in the photo booth, but this? This would likely make him go insane before that.

"What? I've already forgotten about it." Well, at least had stopped worrying at any rate - until she'd brought it up again. Was he here? If they saw each other again, would it be awkward? "Like I said, my mom was crazy this morning, so I had to get out of the house." He'd overslept, leading to a rude awakening and when he'd argued, there'd been more yelling than there'd been in a long time. Dad was already at work and the house was painfully quiet with one of Mom's usual gloomy silences hanging in the air, and Masaya'd finally had enough and left. He'd left a note to say where he was going so he wouldn't have to talk to her.

He smirked at Misaki, trying to forget about that. "Let's worry about that later. I can do the water slides, wave pool, and beat you again all in the same day."

The line was moving quickly, everyone in a hurry to hit the water and feel the rush of the slide, and soon they were near the top of the steps.

Misaki smirked right back at him and crossed her arms. "Oh really? You think you can do all that in one day?"

She laughed some and looked around then pointed out Kanaye, "Yes he's here. He's talking to Seiko-chan over there. She's very nice, really cheerful" Misaki pouted some as they moved forward. "What happened with your mom?"

When they got near the top and she looked down, Misaki instantly moved closer to Masya and gripped his arm nervously. "Um...you'll be at the bottom waiting for me won't you?"

Huh, he was here. Oh well, nothing was gonna be too bad, right? It was in the past. It was probably nothing anyway.

He looked away when she mentioned his mother; he really didn't want to talk about it. "The usual. Parents, y'know? We argued about a million little things, because she's a perfectionistic bitch, and now she's giving me the silent treatment like usual." He tried to give her a reassuring smile, but it wavered. "Don't worry about it."

From the top, the ground did look awful far away. Masaya tried not to think about it, instead focusing on Misaki holding onto him. "Absolutely,"

It was his turn to go. He stepped up to the slide, ignoring the drone of the attendant telling him proper safety procedures, and laid down in the water before pushing off to zip down the slide.

"Oh really we will see about that." She teased him and grinned.

Misaki listened and gave his arm a squeeze nodding some, "Yeah I know the feeling. My mom's sort of the same way. I only wish she would give me the silent treatment, instead I get lots of lectures." She noticed and gave his shoulder a gentle pat. "I'll try not to but you know to call me if you want to talk."

She grinned at his remark then watched him go down. It wasn't that bad, right? She could just pop up? Bracing herself, Misaki went to the edge, sat down and pushed off. Closing her eyes she slid through the twists in the slide till she hit the end, felt herself fly in the air and come splashing down hard in the pool of water. it was deep and she couldn't tell which way was up till she relaxed some and bobbed up, then gripped onto Masaya looking a bit scared.

"That was fun...but...really scary." She blushed deeply, and shivered just a bit.

It felt really easy to be with Misaki, Masaya thought. She might have looked all sugar and sweetness on the outside, but she seemed to be holding back a bit of a wild side, too, if this teasing and that move back in the print club booth were any indication. He liked that.

He shrugged off her concern, not wanting to look...well, weak, in front of her. "I'll be fine, really."

The slide was a thrilling blur; Masaya felt himself twisting and turning on the way down, before shooting out the other end and hitting the water with a big splash. He twisted underwater and came back up gasping for air, before regaining some composure and bobbing in the water, waiting for Misaki.

He grabbed her arm back, holding tightly. "It's okay. Let's hang out in the pool for a while, then."

	Misaki nodded slowly and smiled, "Yeah....that would be a good idea." She blushed some realizing how close they were and let go, "Ummm...er...right. So what do you think of the place so far. That slide was fun." The pink haired girl moved to the side and climbed out of the pool for the splash down and offered a hand to him. "Come on." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

He hadn't really wanted her to let go, but he tried to hide his disappointment. "I - I like it here. It's fun to be here with you." He smiled hesitantly at her, and followed her to the edge of the pool, taking her hand to climb out, no matter how girly it made him feel. He wasn't going to snub the chance to touch her again.

"Where do you wanna go? I wanna try the wave pool, myself."

Misaki beamed at him and gave him a hug, then moved back quickly, "YES! I've been wanting to try that. Can we please! It sounded like a lot of fun!"

She was trying hard, so very very hard not to examine him. Embaressed by this she tried to think of him as Kou, which just made her cring in her mind. How Kozue would want to do anything with him...She didn't understand that relationship at all.

Grinning she took his arm, "This is going to be fun. And I like being here wtih you too. I can't do a lot of these rides with my friends."

Geez, who was she dating again? All of this touching was making his head spin, and he moved away quickly lest he needed to jump back into the cold water...

...only to be foiled as she grabbed his arm. She was so close now, and it was hard not to admire her body in that suit.

Damn! Gotta stop that! Think about baseball, math, anything else!

"That's lame. Why even come if you're not going to get on the rides?" Masaya began moving in the direction of the wave pool, hoping it might put some much-needed distance between him and Misaki, before he did something embarassing.

	"I don't know," Misa shook her head before she let go of him and grinned. "I suppose they wanted to get used to the idea of swimming. And most of them are going on the slides and such." 	"Yeah! We have time, right? Let's do everything possible!" Masaya walked faster to the pool, until he came to the edge of it. The wave pool was churning and kicking up medium-sized waves, people bobbing with the current. He was excited to jump in and started wading out, looking back once to see if Misaki was coming. "Nervous?" Masaya said, putting a hand on her shoulder both as a reassuring gesture and for balance as the waves began to hit him harder, making him sway on his feet. It was harder to stand up the farther he went out, with the current getting stronger and the water deeper, and the last thing he needed was to fall on his face.

It was difficult to navigate the pool, it was so crowded. Understandable for a hot day, but it was irritating nonetheless. He was trying to pick his way through rowdy kids and clueless adults, and it was getting on his nerves.

The final straw was the shrieking kids having a splash fight beside him, getting closer together until they were scuffling. One elbowed him, and he jerked away, reacting instantly. "Get off! And get out of my way!"

	Misaki moved back some and stared, "Masaya-san, are you okay. I'm sure they didn't mean it." She touched his arm and gave him a soft smile, "Would you rather wait till there was less people." Misaki was worried for a second. She wasn't sure she what had went on in his mind but she knew that the kids probably didn't mean it. She gave his arm a squeeze. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
