Honestly, the whole exchange had read like Misaki trying to come up with an excuse when called out of unnacceptable behaviour but Maeko was willing to take that risk if it meant potentially defusing a shadow situation.

So she found herself back in the dorms, outside Kanaye and Toru's dorm room, knocking sharply on the door.

"Senpai, you in there?"

	Kanaye blinked. He had been doing some of his summer homework when Maeko had knocked at the door. He had no idea what she could be doing here. Maybe she was going to yell at him? Okay. There were about a million ways to ask this and all of them sounded really weird or potentially offensive.

So, being herself, she went for the one that sounded least awkward. And most vague.

"Are...are you okay? I've been kind of worried since Obon so..."

It was half-true. Since Misa had mentionned it she had been nagged by the thought that if Misa was right it was probably her inability to keep her mouth closed at Obon that had caused it.

	Maeko tried to remember what 'that stunt' was. It wasn't like she hadn't done a lot of stupid, horrible things recently. 	Kanaye closed the door behind him. The room was, to put it bluntly, a mess. It was roughly divided between Toru's half and Kanaye's half. Toru's half was filled with anime figures and posters. 	That had not, Maeko decided once the shock wore off, been an appropriate reaction. "...I- I'm sorry. I still didn't..." Maeko said afer a few moments of silence, touching her fingertips against her forehead gingerly. "I'm glad you're safe. Sorry I bothered you. I should go. I'll talk to you later."
