Who: Seiko and Kanaye
What: Eating cake and talking.
Why: Seiko thinks Kanaye's wellbeing is her business.
When: After the Maeko mess and the Beach invite.
Where: Kanaye's dorm.

Seiko stood outside Kanaye's dorm room balancing a cake in one hand to knock on his door. She wasn't a brilliant cook, so she had got a shop bought cake, though in a school like this with wealthy students 'shop bought' meant 'bought from an expensive exclusive patisserie'. She sighed.

"Kanaye-kun its me open up!"

Seiko lent back a little and looked over at Kanaye, this sadness was worrying, there was so many things bringing him down. "Kanaye...I guess it doesn't help much if I tell you you are doing well and I like you as you are anyway." she sighed. "I know its hard but you can't manage it all at once."

"You would still have friends, you met these people through this thing sure, but that doesn't mean they only like you for that." she smiled slightly, as she had not been on the list of friends who couldn't help.

"Kozue is very caring though from what I can see, I'm sure she tries to understand."

Seiko sat quietly next to Kanaye for a few moments considering what she was going to say. "I know there isn't much I can say that will make that go away, so just know I'm always here for you, even if I can't help with anything I can at least support you."

"You are so harsh on yourself Kanaye, we are your friends because we like you, stupid thing aside." she nodded in agreement with herself.

"Well I'll try to be around for you when she can't be okay?"

	"Why are you sorry?" Seiko asked perplexed. "You haven't done anything wrong, if you had been I'm perfectly capable of telling you." she told him honestly, Seiko was of course a nice person, but she wasn't a doormat, she wasn't the type to tolerate things for no reason. 	Kanaye smiled. "Yeah. The beach party. It'll be great!" He nodded happily. "I mean, I get to help the group out in the best way I can. I can help them relax, make them forget about the bad things!" 	"There's nothing planned. It's pretty much "we're in a beach house with lots of stuff. Do whatever you want!" Really, it's great. I mean, I've never been there, but I still imagine it's amazing." "I hope so, but don't expect miracles, people are people, they can only be themselves in the end." she laughed a little, she may like people but even she accepted they could never change completely.

"Ah well that would be nice, but nothing excessive!" she waggled her finger then looked a little embarrassed realising she had crumbs on her finger, she retrieved a napkin from her pocket to wipe her fingers.

"Okay I will." she replied with a grin then checked her watch and her face fell.

"Darn it!" she sprang up from where she was sitting narrowly missing colliding with the cake on the side. "Sorry Kanaye but I promised Shojiro-san I'd meet him for a study session at my Mum's house as he is staying with them over the summer as my Stepfather is his uncle." she explained as she hurriedly tidied up any mess she had made.

She lent down and gave him a one armed hug. "I'll come over again soon, just give me a text or something, its easy enough to sneak in here apparently.
