Who: Seiko, Kozue.
What: Introductions, and girly chat?
When: A little after Seiko got tossed into Paradise.
Why: Because everyone has to be friends!
Where: School grounds.

Seiko was wandering around the school grounds trying to get her head around this 'Persona' thing, she had met a fair few of the others, and was surprised about how normal they were. Well within reason. She wondered how many others she was going to meet, she of course liked meeting new people, or getting to know people she had only really met in passing.


She looked up at the sunny sky and smiled, even things like being able to summon a monster or being thrown into 'Paradise' wasn't going to get her down. Of course in the past she would have been abusing some substance fairly seriously by now, instead she had just gone for a few drinks with Kanaye, she was pretty proud of herself.

Speaking of the club room. When they came to the roof entrance, Kozue looked around for a moment, just to ascertain that they were all alone. Then, "Okay, here," she pointed towards the entrance to the Butterfly Room, grinned once again, and led the way.

Once inside the calming blue space with its ever-extending, unreachable walls, and the slightly creepy paintings, Kozue turned and smiled. "Isn't this place the neatest? And as far as I know, nobody who can't summon a Persona can come here, either. It's great."

"I imagine it is useful to get away from people." she said looking around again wandering around a bit to look.

"Che this is all so odd, I mean I can summon some kind of Goddess with a phone! How is that in any way normal?" she sighed and smiled again thinking back to when she had seen her Persona, she wasn't sure if she was pleased to have her or just a little intimidated by her Persona.

"This place is pretty neat you know."

She nodded; Seiko had no idea just how useful the place was. "You're right, it's pretty weird—I mean, I didn't even know what my Persona was, it's some weird Greek thing. I had to have Sagaki-senpai look it up for me."

"But I think I've gotten used to that - there are way weirder things. Like the Shadows, and the Paradise worlds, and the--how much did Akuba-senpai tell you, anyway?"

Seiko stretched and sat down. "I had to Google mine." she said with an embarrassed grin. "I was so shocked to see it you know? Mines Egyptian though..." she paused for a moment.

"Maeko-san didn't really explain too much, I guess she was worried I would be overwhelmed. I mean...it is a lot to take in right?"

Another nod. "It is. Although really, we don't understand much so you're not that far behind the curve." She came over and dropped onto the couch as well--man, it was comfortable! how sweet!--and shrugged a little. "I still feel kind of overwhelmed when I think about it for too long. But, whatever the Personas are, they're helpful, and whatever the Shadows are, they're harmful."

At least, she thought.

"Yeah, I suppose." she sighed. "Its pretty hard believe this is happening. I mean, I never really thought something like this would happen to someone like me." she laughed a bit.

"Good thing it didn't happen last year, I was such a mess I'd be no help to anyone." She knew Kozue was a first year, but even she would have heard a little about her reputation...

"You were a mess?" Kozue asked--trying to be inquisitive without being judgmental, because yes here was the dirt, score! "I mean, I was in middle school last year, but I do hear about how you used to be from time to time," she offered.

Paused. Considered. Then offered, with a laugh that was equal parts amused, conspiratorial and politely embarrassed, "One of the second-years on the baseball team even said he really only wanted to go out with me because I look kind of like you, and you weren't seeing anyone anymore."

"From time to time?" Seiko raised an eyebrow, she may have a whole new bouncy sunshine filled outlook, but even she could spot someone digging for dirt. Though she didn't mind, after all it was to be expected.

"I was a...ah Hell, I was a very hedonistic slut." she nodded sagely. "I mean there was very little I wouldn't do...very few people I wouldn't do either." she shrugged. "But I changed you know?"

At Kozue's last comment she looked a bit embarrassed. "Well I'm sorry about that, I mean its just a stupid thing someone said..."

She shrugged; if it'd really bothered her, she'd masked it well or gotten over it. "I didn't mind. He was kind of dumb in that way, but also really popular—and not a bad lay, either." This last with a grin. Then, she stopped, and considered Seiko; there was something admirable to her, Kozue decided, that she'd admit her past like that. That she'd been a slut. It was also interesting that she used words like hedonistic--how educated!

Seiko narrowed her eyes trying to think if she'd slept with a popular baseball player...and gave up, as the list was getting a bit long to try and work it out.

"I can't deny what I was, I mean I keep my hair bleached to remember it, because I learnt a lot. Not only that but I'd be lying if I said that I didn't enjoy it at the time." she smiled a little. "But I got kept back a year for it so I had to get my act together."

"Oh, yeah, that makes sense." She nodded, to Seiko's last comment. If she got held back… well, her Grandmother might just not care, but it might mean not graduating from high school, and getting married at eighteen anyway. Which was…

Not worth thinking about. No point, really.

"So it's bleached, and not natural? I mean, I'm sorry, that's a personal question," Kozue said, laughing--and twining a lock of her own blond hair around one finger in a nervous, possibly subconscious gesture.

She sighed and tapped her nose thoughtfully. "I'm behind all my friends now, and don't see them as much, so its best to avoid it." she said giving Kozue just a little indirect advice.

"Yeah I naturally have black hair, it used to be long too, my Mum has this whole thing about beauty and to her hair like that is really important to be beautiful." she grinned a little cheekily. "So I started bleaching it and had it cut, it made her so angry!" she laughed.

"Plus its important to remember who you used to be, I used to be a very different Seiko, so I keep it to remember who I was."

Kozue laughed a little; "That's really wise of you. Like, deep and wise and stuff."

"And, wow, I can't imagine what my family would do if I changed my hair to something they didn't like." Well, any more than Grandmother didn't like it now. "I think they might die of horror. But I think what you have now is really pretty. Your hair looks a lot like my mom's, actually."

"Ah its not that wise." she said a little flattered.

"Pah Mum just has to deal with it, my Step-dad calms her down over it anyway" she grinned at the compliment, mostly because Kozue associated it with something special to her. "Thank you." she sighed.

"Nice to talk to someone about my past who doesn't pull a judgemental face."

Kozue shrugged, just short of laughing a little; "Wouldn't I be the biggest hypocrite in the world if I was judgmental about your past? Like, oh, senpai, it's terrible to have slept with that many guys—where would I get off saying that, considering who's talking?" She shook her head.

"I mean, don't you hear the rumors about me? Like that I'm doing compensated dating, or that whole — thing with Ito-senpai? Or how I was selling—well, never mind that. That one totally isn't true."

"Well I have had people judge me like that." she said waving a finger. "Its pretty silly, but some people think its okay to have a problem with someone else and not themselves."

She gave Kozue a sly look. "I did hear rumours but I don't really like to believe them completely without some evidence." she grinned again and waved her hands. "I mean I don't really know what happened with Ito-san though..."

She just nodded. "No, you're right. I bet you understand, though, having people judge you because they're afraid that they're like you." She shook her head—that'd happened, too. She told herself that when girls called her names behind her back, it was jealousy or it was their way of not seeing that they were almost as bad.

"As far as Ito-senpai—well, what you'd expect, I mean, but not what people said because that's just kind of uncomfortable and I think he still doesn't understand what it is." She laughed. "But we did sleep together. And we dated. Because of Paradise, actually: he's on our team, too. But he's seeing Aoi Misaki now. They're very… dedicated to one another."

"Yeah I get it, people think try to distance themselves from you by badmouthing you." she sighed. "It was a bit worse for me in some respects, cause well..." she rubbed her nose. "I slept with one or two girls, its an experimental age after all...so that came out and well, it wasn't great." she liked Kozue she decided, she didn't have the weird factor many of the people she knew had.

"Its the misunderstandings that are the worst." Seiko said calmly. "I hated having to explain myself when it all had seemed to have been understood..."

Kozue blinked, and opened her mouth a bit to respond—well, she hadn't heard that rumor! "So, you… with girls?" Another blink.

"Soooo… What was it like, anyway? With just a girl?" Oh, god, she should not be asking curious questions! If she seemed like, like— "I mean. Or with a guy, too? Because someone, um, asked if I would do that." She gave a nervous laugh. "And I was drunk but I'm pretty sure I agreed to it some day in the future. If I didn't do it and just don't remember."

Which she was pretty sure hadn't happened, because Maeko didn't drink and would have remembered and things would have been way more awkward in Paradise. And she had woken up after her birthday party disappointingly clothed and disappointingly in her own bed. So, all signs pointed to not.

"Uh yeah, I can't believe there is someone who didn't know..." she said with a rueful smile, after all it had been BIG NEWS, maybe it wasn't as important as she had thought.

"As for the combinations-" she had the good grace to look a little embarrassed. "I think I covered most of them really. I mean I never did anything like super gross though." she rubbed her nose, she wasn't really that fussed about talking like this, if Kozue asked enough people she'd know it all anyway.

"As for what was it like, well its very different." gave an evil smirk. "Possibly better in terms of them having just a little more 'understanding' if you get me." She laughed, she hadn't really spoken about her past much, mostly because there was no one to talk to about it who would understand.

"Someday in the future, with who?" she asked.

"Well, I was in middle school when that was a rumor, I bet," Kozue said, shrugging. "It's kind of its own world in lots of ways." She pondered the other things that Seiko had said; more 'understanding'? Did she mean…

"Well, do you really want to know?"

Would Kanaye kill her for telling?

She pondered both of these things, lacing her fingers together and looking upwards in deep thought. It was, in fact, things like this that made Kozue think deeply.

"Ah yeah probably, in my year any kind of same-sex thing was a massive deal, I mean the more recent classes seem a lot more laid back about it which is great." she smiled brightly. "Its a shame when people judge each other."

"I won't tell anyone if you tell me, I, not that kind of person." Seiko said stretching out on the surprisingly comfortable couch.

"W-well, if you're sure," Kozue flushed a little. "It's a couple. Does it count as cheating, do you think, if they're both there?"

"Although I really can't tell if she'd go through with it. That's the thing. I'd have told you she was only interested in other girls—" she kept herself from saying anything uncharitable, since Seiko had just expressed that she didn't like people judging each other about that, and Kozue didn't particularly want to sour their conversation when it was going so well. "But now she's dating this guy, so… She just doesn't seem the adventurous type."

"I'm not sure if it is cheating if they are both there, but I guess it depends kind of how it comes about. If one made the other do it then it probably is on shaky moral ground." she considered what Kozue had said.

"Well if you want it to happen its probably just a case of wait and see." Seiko said. "But just a word of warning, if these are people who are your friends then it will make things very awkward between you all. Its just something to be mindful of."

Seiko didn't want to tell people how to live their lives it was up to them, but she likes Kozue, and didn't really want the younger girl to get into the same messes she had when she was younger. Whilst she herself would never behave like that anymore, she had the previous experience, so she wanted to help others out by trying to show what it could do to you.

"Hmmm." She breathed out, and thought about it for a moment. "I really don't know, but it might just not be an issue. They… well, it seems like they have a lot of other problems to work through and, lacking a good attitude about sex, it's probably going to take them a zillion years to get in bed together, anyway."

"Thanks, though." She smiled at the older girl; "There really aren't a lot of people who are good at giving advice on things like this!" She suppressed a giggle; "Usually, people ask me, even if they're older than I am, and honestly, I have the most colorful and all-over-the-place love life, why would you ask me if you wanted a steady relationship? I mean, I am an expert but not on things like that." She was amused--but still kind of proud of being asked for advice.

"Well its complicated to have a relationship, part of the reason I never really had any proper ones, cause well...far too much effort back then." she grinned and looked almost shy. "I'd not mind trying to find someone for a proper relationship now though." she admitted.

She nodded with understanding, "Well I understand that, I used to get asked about stuff but not that often as I probably wasn't always much help." she waved a hand embarrassed. "Indulgences came first you see..."

Kozue seemed to understand about indulgences. "Oh, proper relationships," she shrugged. She could see the appeal, she supposed; just not the point. At least, not for her. "It's definitely a lot of effort to put it, and not for a huge amount of payoff. But it seems to work for lots of people."

"Everything is worth trying once though right?" she grinned. "Some things maybe a few more times after that..."

Seiko shifted some. "Hey I know this will sound stupid, and we haven't known each other long. But we are in this 'Persona' thing together so...if you have a problem with this kind of thing and need help I'll always listen and do what I can..."
