Who: Asabi Kin (Gendou's boyfriend for those that don't know) and Open
What: Training for the upcoming practice season doing sprints
Where: Clearly the track outside where else
When: During a free peirod when he's not in class
Why: DSM just wants to use him.

Kin took his mark at the 100 meater line and postioned himself carfully. One foot back the other forward. Leaning on the rubberized ashfault with his fingers and taking in a deep breath before pushing off the metal markers with his legs and running for all he was worth down the straight away. Arms and legs working in solitary motion, pumping back and forth, his mind's eye seeing the hard wood floor of the court, and pushing himself down it with the ball. He was going to need to work on his speed, it was the only way to keep from falling behind the other players. Still he was going to use this scholarship to get into a good university and then, then maybe he wouldn't have to hide the way he did. He hated that factor about their relationship, it seemed unfair and unjust. It wasn't his fault that he turned out this way, and it wasn't his fault that he feel in love with a man, but still a part of him was painfully aware of the socialital view of everything, and it crushed the air right out of his lungs.

He came up short and cursed, bending over to cough, and trying to catch his breath. He'd had a good start too.

"Damn," he muttered and held to his knees. He stood up again and streched out some, then started to walk back over to the marker and try it again. "I'm going to have to work on that run. Maybe If I push just a bit more towards the end, rather at the start, I can get my speed up. Hummm, but would that give an opponet a chance to cut me off?"

He shrugged and went back to the marker to try it again.

	Kin slowed down and jogged over to the fence where Misaki was standing. "Oh hello Aoi-san. How are you?" He smiled gently at her. "Huh? Oh nothing, I was just looking for Suzume-niichan, that's all." Misaki smiled thoughtfully and then looked up at the older boy as he approached. Kin had always been talkitive when it came to the parties, but at school he seemed far more quiet, so it was a delight for her to see him when he was feeling a bit lively.

"How are things going for you? And why do I look like somethings the matter?" She asked as he leaned on the fence next to her, streched a bit and folded his arm. "Maybe because I've been a bit boared with not having anything to do at the school? Since, you know, suspended from club actvities till next semester."

"Well it's just that you don't look like you're cheerful self is all. But people are allowed to be unhappy when they wasnt to be," Kin said and leaned on his arms to rest. "Suzume-neechan, isn't here right now. Although why you call her niichan...I'm curious."

Kin looked up at the sky for a mometn and thought, "Well your brow is wrinkled, you look like you were crying, and just the way you're standing." He paused, "Something happening with your friends? And things are going as well can be expected. Gendou's still being his normal self, no matter how many times I try to talk to him about it he evades the subject. But it's something that I can only wait on, and let the chips fall when they may. I just hope he doesn't get into too much trouble."

Misaki sighed, she suspected that she wasn't being as good as she could be covering what she felt and leaned on her one hand sighing. "Just silly personal stuff. And I guess I call her that because I really don't like the idea of calling her sister. Sister...never had a good feeling in my mouth. I always was closer and respected my brothers more, so calling her niichan over neechan, made sense to me. Besides her retort is always funny. 'Neechan, boobies."

Again she grew quiet and twirled the pendent around her neck in a slow fashion and watched it move, "Sort of. Have you ever felt like people don't understand where you're coming from even when you try to explain to them what you mean?"

"You're letting him get into trouble, but isn't that a bit irrisponsible on your part Asabi-sempai?" Misaki asked serioiusly and brought her head up.

He chuckled at this and smiled, "Yeah that sounds like Suzume-san. But why call her that just for the reaction. You should tell her that you're calling her that because you really love and respect your older brother, and your younger brother. If it were me I'd start to wonder if you were mocking me with that since I asked for the neechan rather then the niisan."

Kin thought a while after listening to her question. It wasn't an easy one to answer but then said simply, "To be honest yes and no. It's never easy explaining what you want to, because people all have differnt backgrounds growing up. So they naturally don't know what you're thinking. When you have an opinion it doesn't always mean that you're right or the other person is wrong, it just means that you both have different views. And sometimes your views don't mix well with the other persons so you have to learn to compromise." He made a face, "Some people find it hard to explain their opinion, the best way to deal with it then is to find an example the other person can understand. Something that doesn't seem arrogent or that isn't skewed towards your own opinion. Safe, I guess is the word."

He looked suprised at her reaction and laughed, "What do you mean, isn't that a bit irrisponsible. Well with Gendou-kun, it's not in most cases. I would argue it would be irrisponsible of me to let him say, drive drunk or something like that, but, it's not wrong of me to let him do his own thing and make his own misakes. If I were to go and stop him, and tell him not to do that, I might be placing my own fears onto him, and causeing him more trouble then it would be to let him make an idiot of himself."

Misaki paused, 'How is calling her niichan mocking her exactly? I mean...it's not like it's a bad thing to call someone that name is it?"

"So you're saying that I shouldn't defend my opinions? Or what?" Misaki inquired to him looking even more confused then normal. She frowned deeply, "Something that doesn't seem arrogent or skewed. But how do I figure that out?"

"But shouldn't you stop him from doing that? Isn't that dangerous for him to do things that could make him look bad? Espeically considering you're dating him." Misaki pointed out.

"Well she IS a girl Aoi-chan, it would be like calling me neechan, though I wouldn't mind it as much as another guy. But still, to her it probably feels like you're making fun of her," Kin explained with a smile.

"No, what I'm saying is that you need to find a way to defend them without upsetting people. You can't just say that you believe people have wings, right. You need to find a way to back it up instead of saying something that could hurt or offend them." Kin looked thoughtful for a moment, "Well the only way I can think of is think about what you want to say first then take a few steps back physically to think if it sounds arrogent or skewed. You know like ask yourself does this make sense if I say this, or would this hurt someone if I said that. That's the only way I can honestly think of."

"Why should I?" he laughed. "Genkun is his own master, and nothing I say will change that fact. If he honestly felt it would cause me trouble he wouldn't do it. And so what if he looks bad, does it make me a bad person for loving him, or wanting him to love me back? No, honestly it doesn't."
