Who: Tom, and then Masami... and then the people he probably doesn't want to talk to about his love life
What: Talking about his love life.
Where: Nanakamado roof
When: Lunch time
Why: Because it's HILARIOUS

Tom sat on the roof of the school. Beside him sat the lunch he'd made, but it remained uneaten. He had a lot on his mind, and while he'd hoped to understand his feelings, talking it out only seemed to serve to make things even more confusing.

He let out a long sigh, and leaned back. This was perhaps why he tried to avoid caring about people. Though no matter how hard he tried, it seemed that the feelings welled up within him, and these people found him regardless of what he did.

Tom cocked his head.

"I've kind of spent a large portion of my life... not doing that. I'm just not... really a people person. And apparently there are *no* instructions for htis kind of thing. I mean I understand if there are variables, but not a single "This is is how this works?" It's maddening."

Tom put a finger to his chin.

"Admittedly, there is something to be said for a battle strategy that is so completely unpredictable that it cannot be countered, but... there has to be a way to plan for contingencies right?"

Just after Tom finished speaking, Shirou burst out onto the roof carrying both a bento box and a shinai, as if he fully expected nobody to be there. Of course, he immediately noticed Masami.

"Sakuraba-senpai! Wow, you're here too? I sometimes come here during lunch so I can train, since it's rare for people be up here! Still, I'm amazed, Sakuraba-senpai! You must have figured out what I was going to do, so you came here first to help me train, right?! That's really too kind of you, Sakuraba-senpai!"

"ALL RIGHT! I'M PUMPED NOW! AFTER THIS SPECIAL LUNCHTIME TRAINING SESSION I'LL TAKE NATIONALS BY STORM!"

Tom, had had plenty of experiences with enemies trying to grapple him. In fact, it was the only experience he had with that kind of thing, so Suzume's "attack" caused him to drop beneath her arm, and take a step back into a defensive posture.

It took him a second to realize that she was not in fact engaged in a physical attack, and so he relaxed. Or relaxed as much as Tom does relax, crossing his arms across his chest (in case they did try to make a sudden attack)

"I didn't say anything about relationship problems. I was talking about people, I don't know where you got relationships from."

Shirou was dragged into the group hug, which broke him out of his idol-worshipping reverie and causing him to actually notice that there were people not named Masami present.

"Oh! Suzuki-senpai and Sagaki-senp-!" Shirou's greeting became muffled when some combination of flailing arms ended up in his face. It was a few moments before Shirou became able to speak again.

"Relationship advice? I can help too! And Sakuraba-senpai gives great advice! That's what got me and Tachibana-san together!" he said.

"ALL RIGHT, I'M PUMPED NOW! WE'LL MAKE SURE YOU END UP TOGETHER WITH THE PERSON YOU LIKE, SAGAKI-SENPAI! THE POWER OF LOVE CONQUERS ALL!"

Shirou was, as usual, completely missing at least half of the conversation.

When Suzume attacked again, Tom's arms shot out. He batted her hands aside, and grabbed her wrists.
He noted that she was limping, and her attacks were sloppy at best, so he figured he'd go easy on her.
He pulled her over his hip and guided her to the ground, with much less force then he would someone he considered a genuine threat.

Once she was down though Shirou shouted at him, and he hung his head. He straightened up and looked at them.

"1. You aren't my sister, I don't have any sisters, I don't have any siblings at all.
2. There's... I'm contemplating social interaction, not relationships.

...okay technically relationships, but not... romantic relationships."

	Suzume was really less phazed by that than she should have been. It was almost as if she was used to hugs resulting in judo. "How rude!" She shouted, frowning and glaring upward. A worried look crossed over Masami's face as she watched Suzume get thrown to the ground. "Suzuki-senpai! Are you OK?"

She directed a look at Tom that seemed to start as a glare before immediately being suppressed into a calm, flat stare. "Sagaki-senpai, what did you do that for? Suzuki-senpai wasn't trying to hurt you or anything... can't you see she's already injured?"

	Tom frowned. "I'm not your younger brother. I'm probably older then you. And even if I was, I would still not be related to you." Tom was relieved that at least the argument has taken attention from his relationship problems. (Reply to this) (Parent)
