Who: Maeko, Misaki
What: Something.
Where: School
When: Afterschool, on a non-club day for either of them, once Misa's back.
Why: Because Maeko did something really stupid.

Maeko had attempted to write a note. And failed. Even when writing she didn't really trust her skill with words. What had been written, if one attempted to look behind the heavy strikeouts, was nice enough. Higher than the normal standard for a Nanakamado locker note, anyway (though this meant very little, considering the standard of most Nanakamado locker notes).

Instead, a room number and the word 'afterschool' had been scrawled on it. The note had been placed inside a large sketchbook which was empty other than 'Property of Aoi Misaki. Please return if found.' writted in the inside cover in very small, very neat writing. Taped to the front of it was the bracelet.

The repair was imperfect. Maeko lacked the dexterity to use wire or clasps and not all the beads had been retrieved. The lost beads had been replaced by store-bought glass ones that didn't quite match. Thin white ribbon had been used instead of both wire and clasps, it would require tying.

After school, Maeko waited in the specified classroom sat on a table and kicking her legs. She wasn't sure what she was going to do next but this seemed like a good enough first step.

"...okay, I will." Maeko said, nodding less enthuseastically. Communicating that something wasn't funny? Unheard of!

"I guess. I'll come help you out if things get busy and you need help but I'm not sure I have time to be a permanent member anyway..."

She grinned. "Then we'll go there, then!"

Misaki nodded and smiled, "I'm glad to hear that. I just..." she paused and looked at Maeko gently. "I just want you to be honsest with me, Maeko-chan. I don't want you to say you like something just because, I like it. We don't have to like the same things all the time."

Again Misaki nodded, "Good...I just want to spend some time with you."

Misaki twirled her hair with her finger some and grined, "Yup, and can I pay please! I still have some extra birthday money."

Maeko squeezed Misaki's hand again and smiled. "I'll try. The whole things a little new to me..."

"You don't have to do that. Oh, but-" She paused, digging around in her bag with the free hand until she produced a piece of paper.

"It's a club registation form. I don't really have that many interests of my own right now but if you like the idea I think I'd like to help out with something like this."

She handed the paper to Misaki. At the top, the words 'textile design club' were filled in, along with a room number. Maeko's own name was on the form, but as a prospective member rather than club leader.
