WHO: Keiichi & Shiori
WHAT: Excursion to Noodle Alley
WHERE: Meeting outside school, then (duh) Noodle Alley
WHEN: Thursday, after school.
WHY: Funs?

Sitting on one of the benches lining the walkway leading up to the school's front door was Keiichi, swinging his legs absent-mindedly. He was, honestly, quite bored.

And when bored, Keiichi enjoyed sampling the flavors of Noodle Alley. One minor problem: he had no one to go with. Keiichi could, of course, just go and pull up a seat at the counter, but where was the fun in that?

No, he needed company. The fairer gender would be preferred, but really, anyone would do. At least that way there would be conversation.

"Thanks," Shiori said, relieved that she wouldn't have to conserve the water. As much as she ate spicy foods, even she couldn't eat a bowl of spicy miso without some water. She paused from her stirring when he spoke again.

"Spicy food to me is like chocolate is for other people - you want to savor it, but you can't help but eat it as quickly as you can," Shiori said, smiling. "Still, though, I could see where you're coming from. I'd be so mad if someone cruised through my gallery without really looking at the pictures!"

Scooping up some more noodles, though not as much as she had been taking before, she began to eat the noodles slower. By doing so, the various spices really became apparent. Though it was still just as good, the flavor seemed to burn as she chewed it and she had to take another drink of water. Definitely glad she had changed out of her uniform, for the heat of the miso only seemed to add the temperature of the room, she brushed her hair away from her face once again.

"Ah, that sounds like it'd be fun! Making brownies, I mean - not having people mess up the recipes," Shiori mused. "Still, though, it must suck to have to make the basics at the club when you could be figuring out the recipe for the sukiyaki or some other complex recipe."

He could sympathize on the chocolate bit. He did enjoy sweets, quite a bit, actually.

The noodles were mostly forgotten as he spoke to her. Ramen was something he could have anytime. Company was not.

The spiciness of her meal made it look like she was blushing, and he chuckled lightly. Kind of cute, really.

"I don't mind, Shiori," Keiichi replied, finally. "I like teaching and helping people cook as much as I like cooking myself."

"You should be a cooking instructor then!" Shiori said, as though this were a brilliant idea that needed to be done. "Man, that'd be fun too, I bet..." Giggling, she added, "Hee, I'm glad I can get help from you now, while you aren't charging."

Finishing the noodles left in the bowl, she jumped slightly when she felt her phone vibrate from inside her bag. Reaching down for it, she flipped open the phone and saw it was a warning that her battery was low. About to tuck it back inside her bag, her eyes widened when she saw what time it is.

"Oh, man!" she exclaimed, shoving her phone back into her bag and sliding out of the booth. "It's so late! I'm sorry, Keiichi, but I really need to go!"

Digging money out of her bag, she slapped it onto the table. Bowing lowly to Keiichi, she quickly straightened.

"I'm sorry!" she said again. "Thank you for inviting me to come along. We should do this again!"

And then, after a moment's hesitation, she grabbed him into a quick hug before stepping away and, with a wave, running down the aisle towards the exit.
