Tom was elated for numerous reasons.

The first thing he did, was pull on his black gloves, and remove both the letter, and the nail from his door. He slipped both inot plastic bags, and sealed them, then brought them into his room.

He checked both for finger prints and then immediately replaced them in their evidence bags.

As soon as he had the chance, he took the letter to the library. He took a few books that would be helpful to make full color copies of, and started copying the pages. During one such session he slipped the letter over the page of one of his books, making five copies, which ended up in the stack of copies, which were all brought back to his dorm room, along with the original.

When he returned to his room, a copy of the letter went up on his investigation wall.

He looked at it closely. He had some letters to write of his own.
