Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Current music:Morphine - Have a Lucky Day
Entry tags:kiriko, misaki, reizo, takumi

Who: Reizo, Kiriko, Misaki, Takumi
What:  Reizo's having a very fun day.
Where:  In the back alleyways near school.
When:  Monday evening
Why:  Because everyone hates him.

Reizo pursed his lips and dabbed gingerly at them with a rolled up strip of blood-smattered cloth he’d finished pulling off of the bottom of his shirt. His lip was busted, and his knuckles were torn from having hit so many people in the mouth, but beyond that and a few bruises he was no worse for wear. He sighed and leaned back heavily against the chain link fence the box he was sitting on was positioned against, and surveyed the scene he’d just created. Several other boys were all laying on the ground, most unconscious, but a few were groaning and holding various parts of their beaten bodies. Looking almost unimpressed-- either by the paltry numbers or the lack of real injuries he’d managed to inflict-- he fished a bent cigarette out of his pocket with a bloody hand and tucked it between his lips, lit it, and tipped his head back to stare up at the sky.

He knew the others, the cowards, were a ways off, surveying him from a distance. Would they bother attacking him now that their numbers were lessened? Did they have some sort of ace fighter like he always saw in the movies, just waiting to show up at the end and beat him to a pulp? He decided it didn’t much matter as he stood up, grabbed his school jacket and moseyed off. Every encounter seemed to be getting more vicious and he didn’t feel like waiting around for more morons with bats to show up. Pretty soon they’d be showing up with knives.

He turned a corner, ignoring the sound of rapid footfalls on cement behind him. They stopped a distance away and he knew they were just gathering up their beaten members to properly tuck their tails between their legs and speed off. Something of a smile tugged at his lips as he heard the footfalls again, slower this time and accompanied by a few groans.

It almost amused him. Almost.

She was nodding as they walked and grinned, "Uh huh, he told me yesterday that he could cook better then me. But he wouldn't take my challenge, so I'm going to teach him how to cook so we can have the challenge. It should be fun right Shirai-san?"

Misake giggled some to Kiriko, "Um...what sort of rumors would be going around? I don't want to get you into trouble Kiriko-san...it..it is okay to call you by your first name...right? I won't if you don't want me to."

It was a short walk to the delinquent’s house-- a very short one. It might’ve seemed a little odd when they realized he was leading them to the little mom and pop convenience store closest to the school that so many of the students visited during lunch and after school, and even odder when the old man tending it greeted Reizo with a friendly smile uncharacteristic of most merchants in the area. Rumors might’ve clicked into place when he lead them up behind the building and up a set of stairs, withdrew a key from his pocket and unlocked the door.

The house, or rather floor, was immaculate, that much was clear from the first step inside. Counters and linoleum gleamed, white carpet looked as pristine as the day it’d been bought, and there was not a speck of dust in sight. Either the boy had a fantastic team of maids, or..

Still, it was obviously lived in. Magazines misaligned on tables, knives strewn out over the kitchen counter, and other miscellaneous things gave it a touch of humanity, keeping it from looking entirely too much like something out of one of those fancy home keeping magazines. Perhaps the biggest contrast to this, however, were the various delinquent paraphernalia laying around: skin magazines, the odd improvised weapon lying around, and yes, even a gun case tucked away in the corner of the living room.

“Try not to touch anything that looks dangerous,” he muttered, glad he hadn’t actually looked at them since stepping through the thresh hold. He was nearly at a loss for words, and he could swear he felt himself blushing, and that was definitely a bead of sweat he felt crawling down his spine. Why the hell did he feel so nervous? “And close the door and .. Eh, help yourself to the fridge.”

He made a beeline for a door. Likely the bathroom given his mention of peroxide earlier.

Misaki waved when she saw the man at the counter. She smiled brightly at him and followed after Reizo and Kiriko up the set of stairs. She wondered what it was like to live by yourself? She'd always lived with a lot of people, so privacy was something that she tried to keep, even though it was nearly impossible in her home.

Still she was ready for a messy home and was shocked to see it immaculate. She couldn't help but be very impressed and beamed at Reizo as she looked around, "Shirai-san this place is so beautiful! Did you do all this yourself! I'm really impressed!"

"Um...okay, I'll see what you have in there and um...where are the pots. I'll make a snack for all of us!" Misaki smiled sweetly at the deliquent.

"Wow," she muttered to Misaki as soon as she was sure Reizo was out of earshot. "I wasn't expecting this. Were you, Aoi-chan?" The use of her peer's first name, she hoped, would answer the earlier question about whether or not it was fine to call her 'Kiriko.'

She stepped into the house almost gingerly, after removing her shoes of course. Did he really clean? Surely it must be the hired help, it was almost neater than her room. Then again, the naughty magazines left lying helter-skelter suggested otherwise. Not wanting to follow that train of thought, she veered towards the kitchen to peek at the fridge.

"A snack would be nice. As for the rumours... Well, don't worry about it. I'm pretty sure nobody saw us but the shopkeeper, anyway."

He was back out in a few seconds, glancing around a bit more nervously than he cared to and wiping his palms on his pants legs. Had he not wiped them on a towel after washing them, or were his palms sweaty? The moment in the bathroom had been just as much for calming himself down as it was cleaning the dried blood off his chin and lips. As such, he did feel a little calmer.. It was just those two in his house, right? Nothing to worry about. He had nothing to hide. The most that could happen here is that rumors of his virility spread or Misaki and Kiriko noticed all the dangerous things and rumors of just how badass he was would get out.. Yeah, no way to lose.

He watched the two from the other side of the counter dividing the small kitchen and living room, frowning and appearing somewhat pensive.

“Oi, you’re gonna dirty up my kitchen? Just get some cookies or something!” He pointed at the cookie jar afterwards. It was a ‘comical’ mockup of a yakuza, complete with pompadour, sunglasses, and toothpick between his teeth.

She looked where he was pointing and laid eyes on the cookie jar.

... Seriously?

"Going away present from your mom or something? Or are novelty items just your thing?"

She helped herself to a cookie and, while chewing it, turned to Misaki.

"So, what're you going to make?" she asked, deliberately oblivious to Reizo's wishes. "Are you really going to teach him noodles?"

Misaki grinned happily at this and looked around following Kiriko. She noticed the magazines, but living in a house with an older brother and a younger brother, she knew about those sorts of magazines. The one good thing was that they were an excellet resorce for studying how a body looked and how to make clothing fit differnt body types.

Hurrying after Kiriko she nodded and set her bag down on the kitchen table. "Hummm wonder where he keeps the pots and pans. And I don't mind if they see me come in here. Shirai-san is a nice person. I want to be friends with him."

She glanced up when she heard Reizo's voice and saw him pointing to the Yakuza cookie jar. Misaki couldn't help but giggle and hurried over to inspect it. "Oh this is so CUTE!!! Where did you get it Shirai-san! It's adorable! And I promise I won't make a mess. I was going to make some Daifuku. I swear I'll clean up after."

She sighed some, "But if you don't want me to I won't."

Glancing at Kiriko she thought a moment, "Well why not. It's not that hard to make and it's a lot of fun. I don't know...would you want to learn from scrach Shirai-san? Or do you want me to show you from pre made noodles?"

"I think you should definitely teach him from scratch," she said, that devious grin flashing over her features again. "Shirai-kun would never want to half-ass it. Isn't that right?"

“Okay..” he answered a little unsurely, eyeing the girl. He knew of her, he knew the word “motherly” tended to show up when someone was describing her, so what could it hurt? She was bound to clean up even if she did screw up. Still, he was a -little- protective over his kitchen, and those damned knives were sharp, but daifuki.. Couldn’t hurt right?

Sighing in defeat, he gave another nod. “Alright, fine,” he confirmed again, then he cast an ice eye towards Kiriko. She was just trying to torture him! Bitch. What the hell was up her butt? He hadn’t harassed her enough for this!

“Yeah, it -WAS- a gift from my mom. Wanna make something out of it?” He sneered, before turning to Misaki, face softening.

“Uh, maybe we’ll save that for later, huh? Daifuki is fine for now.

Misaki nodded her head looking at it and took a cookie out. "Well your mom has good taste. I mean she brought you up to be brave and strong right?" She laughed a little, "You have a very nice kitchen too Shirai-san. If you're sure you don't want to learn, that's fine. I'll make you both some Daifuki! Better still lets make it together okay!"

Putting the cookie in her mouth she took a bite and was suprised, "Oh my gosh! Shirai-san, where...where did you get these! These are the best I've tasted in a long time! Please please please, tell me where you got them. Kiriko-chan, you should really taste this! It's delicious!"

"You're right," she answered, munching merrily away. "What brand are these? Doesn't taste like anything I know of."

As Misaki begged Reizo for the answer, Kiriko slipped out of the kitchen and pushed aside Reizo's magazines to make a spot on the couch for herself. She'd rather not cook if they were going to do it - she wasn't too bad at it, but if she could get someone else to do it for her, she'd take the opportunity.

Well, he hadn’t expected that, but if he just reinforced the idea that he could cook by admitting the truth, who knew what Misaki would do? Probably beg him to join in that annoying club with him.. But if didn’t say he could cook, wouldn’t she just do it anything? What a pickle, and all from just some stupid competitiveness rising up on him on the goddamned internet.

Scratching his cheek, he looked from the counter to Misaki’s face, then watched Kiriko as she moved into the living room. Thankful for some sort of distraction, he stood up with a quick: “Oh yeah so you guys wanna watch a movie or something?” Hopefully they’d drop asking where the cookies came from..

He was over by the large TV in a moment, sitting Indian style beside it while he perused the movies on the shelves.

"Well okay, but I'd still like to know where they came from, I want the reciepe to learn how to make these. They're really good." she smiled at him as followed to sit near Kiriko on the couch.

Misaki pulled out a handkerchif as she covered the cookie so there would be no crumbs on the couch. "Hummm what movie are we watching? Or are we going to watch an anime?"
