Party Time!
Who: Everyone who heard, basically.
What: Kiriko's Party
Where: Event hall by the dorms
When: 8pm Saturday
Why: Birthday celebrations!

The party's turnout was roughly as expected, and the presence of such a lively crowd was enough to make anyone (but especially Kiriko) thankful for the fact that the event hall had air conditioning. Tables were scattered about, some of them holding food for the guests and all of them clear of the dance floor. A school-aged boy with a nervous look to him was at the head of the dancefloor acting as DJ and doing a reasonably good job at keeping everyone pleased, mostly by way of immediately playing any song requested that had not been previously blacklisted by Kiriko. A karaoke system and open mic were set up, but no one had gotten quite drunk enough to approach the stage yet. The much-fretted over decorations had gone up last minute and the sparkling blue butterflies dangling from the ceiling or stuck to walls here and there caught and reflected the dim light.

Kiriko sat at the head table with a gaggle of girls, several from 1-A, and was chatting and laughing easily with them. She was keeping a sharp eye out for anybody who looked like they might break something or cause other kinds of trouble, occasionally turning from the conversation to crane her head and look out over the partygoers, but seemed quite pleased and relaxed nonetheless.

Wow, they're all pretty drunk..

Yoshimi herself was definitely not drunk, in her opinion. Just drinking socially. She wouldn't be officially drunk until after at least three more shots, and if her inability to form a coherent sentence seemed to suggest otherwise, well, that was just the party atmosphere getting to her.

"We're uh... we're, uh." What were they doing? Right, game. Party game. "We're playin' Ever Have I Never." Wait, that didn't sound right. "I mean, Never Have I Never. I mean..." What was it called again? It was on the tip of her tongue.

"We're playin' the ten fingers game," she said, giving up on trying to remember the name. "It's the one where you put up ten fingers," she explained, pausing to do so, "and then everyone says something they've never done. If someone else has done it, they hafta put a finger down and then do a shot. First person to run out of fingers winssss." The last part came out hopelessly slurred, but she figured that she'd managed to get the general idea across. "So who's in?"

Oh boy, this game. Well, if winning was getting to zero fingers first? Kozue was going to be a champion.

"I'm in!" Kozue declared, a bit louder than usual, although the increase in volume was only about half the fault of the wine she'd had thus far--it was also just really loud in the party room, and she wanted to make sure everyone heard her. "So are you, sempai," she said, turning to look at Keiichi. "I mean, you are, right?"

She pursed her lips a little in a very calculated, hopeful smile, although she stopped short of actually saying pleeeeeease?

"So shots of what, and who else?"
