Shiori didn't particularly mind missing out on the meeting - if there was even going to be one. There had been quite a few people that definitely didn't belong in their group that had crashed their little party. Though Shiori wouldn't have minded if people overheard, she knew that others might. Ah, well. She'd much rather have fun with Satou than become depressed by the worries of the others. It'd be too serious for her, anyway.

"Ah, hold on senpai," she said quickly as she took out her cell phone. Punching in the number she thought was Aoi's, she sent a text message asking Aoi to update Shiori on what they talked about - Paradise, the shadows, their future battle plans, and whatever else the group might talk about. Finishing, she pushed her phone back into her pocket and then smiled up at him. "Sorry! I texted Aoi to ask her to keep me posted on what the group talks about."

Grinning, Shiori hugged the arm Satou had around her shoulders. Yet again, the thought that Satou was really wonderful crossed her mind, as it often did when she was with him. It was hard not to think that though - especially when it was the truth.

"I don't think anyone's magnetism could rival yours, senpai!" she giggled. "But if you're sure you don't mind, I'll keep doing it!"

And, yes, she was blushing. Him saying she was adorable or cute or any variation thereof seemed to be her weak point. What an awesome weakness, she thought to herself as she imagined what would happen if the shadow things knew of it. Being charmed by shadows - haha!

Yay! More physical contact! Victoly! Kanaye just got a royal flush and he's raising. The pot's big, and he's gonna take it all.

"Oh, Shichan you are such a flatter. Yes, keep doing that. It makes me feel good. And, please, call me Kanaye-kun." he insisted before smiling. Who says you need a poker face to win in life? "Unless, of course, you have a better pet name..."

He smiled. He's the dealer and a player in this game, and damn if he isn't going to look at her cards. "Yaknow, Shichan, your blush is adorable. You look better then Misaki!" Kanaye said earnestly.

Shiori couldn't believe her ears. Was Sato- no, Kanaye really asking her to call him by his first name? Only Keiichi had done that before, and she thought of him as a really good friend (and maybe more, but she'd never tell him that!). So did that mean that Kanaye thought of her as a good friend too?

She grinned widely.

"Hee, about Kana-chan?" she asked teasingly before giving him yet another hug. "You're so awesome, sen- Ka...kun..?"

She blinked, realizing how it sounded before giggling. Maybe she'd just stick with what he suggested.

At the suddenly compliment, though, her giggles abruptly stopped as a blush replaced them. Aoi-chan was adorable when she blushed. S-so did that mean...

She promptly blushed more, her hands once again moving to cover her cheeks. There was no way! But... but she had to find out.

"Kanaye-kun, um... do you like me?" she asked shyly, barely moving her hands away from her face as she peered up at him.

Kanaye just laughed at her. He's playing Texas Hold'Em now, and he's got same suit Ace King. More physical contact! "Kakun? Isn't that the name of a country?" he asked, laughing.

More giggles! The flop's same suited Queen 2 3, he's close.

And a blush! The Turn is same suited Jack, then...

River's Same suited 10. Royal flush. Kanaye would pose if it wouldn't ruin the mood. Instead he just smiled at her, leaned in close and...

Whispered in her ear "I would have thought that was obvious, Shichan." he said huskily before kissing her on the lips.

If she was embarrassed before, she was outright flustered now. Him saying so nonchalantly that, yes, he did like her... for how long? And why her? He could have any girl, so why would he like someone like her?

And then she felt lips on her own, and her mind promptly went blank. Her eyes were open, but she saw nothing. She could only feel - she couldn't even process it though. Her mind refused to accept that Satou Kanaye was kissing her.

"S-senpai..." she stuttered out, realizing with a start that somehow her hands had grabbed onto his shirt. When had she done that..? She stared at her hands still fisting his shirt before looking back at him. "Are you sure? Your injury isn't making you confused, is it? What if you have a concussion or something?!"

Her mind went blissfully blank once again, but it quickly recovered this time. He really had kissed her! Surely if he had a concussion he would have realized his actions the second time around and apologized, right? But instead he was running his fingers through her hair and leaning on her.

This was rather new.

"Maybe we should sit down," she said, shuffling them over to a tree and easing herself down. Nevermind him, Shiori wasn't even the right state to walk! Not after something like that!

"You really.." she began, faltering and fumbling with her words. "You really like.. and you even... what do we... do now, Kanaye-"

She stopped. What kind of honorific was she supposed to give him now? "-kun" didn't seem to cut it anymore!

Success! Kanaye was essentially dancing at this point. Mentally, at the very least. She was cute when she was confused. She was always cute, but she was slightly cuter when she was lost. Good thing she's almost always lost, eh?

Chuckling as they sat down, he smiled at her. "Yes, Shichan, I really, really do like you. And as for what do we do know? Well, Shichan," he said as he kissed her again. "That's for you to decide, isn't it?"

Maybe sitting wasn't such a good idea. It gave Kanaye better access and yet while she was still flustered she wasn't appalled by it. Quite the opposite, actually.

And, well, third time was the charm, wasn't it?

Shyly, she leaned after him to initiate the kiss that time. Sitting, it seemed, let her have better access too. Maybe it wasn't so bad, this whole sitting and kissing thing.

"I think we should do it," she said as she moved away, blushing lightly but smiling nevertheless. "Let's date, se- Kanaye-kun!"

	She was actually leaning in as well! This was Kanaye's day, really. All thoughts of Reizo washed away from his mind, he smiled at his new girlfriend. "I'd never thought you'd ask, Shichan." he said as he smiled at her and just say back and enjoyed her company. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Moving closer to snuggle into Satou's side, Shiori basked in the presence of her senpai-now-boyfriend. Hopefully things wouldn't turn weird and awkward with them. That'd be terrible, she thought to herself.

And then another thought drifted through her mind.

"What do you think the others will say?" Shiori mused. "Aoi-chan will probably be upset, huh?"

And the others that weren't fond of Kanaye... what would they think? Would they give her and Kanaye the cold shoulder? Treat them differently?

"...maybe we should keep it quiet," she mumbled to herself, frowning slightly.

	She is very soft. Not even just her body, just her presence indicates comforting softness. It's quite nice. Frowning at her conclusion, Kanaye pondered. Not many people in the group actually liked him, and it would be terrible if they changed that perception onto Shiori, so... "Yeah. Wouldn't want to make the others hate you as well, right?" he said. Though she felt guilty, she nodded slightly and wrapped an arm around Kanaye's.

"If Keiichi is right, and we have to go back to that place, it's probably for the best if everyone works together," Shiori said. "We could still tell some people though. I don't think I'd be able to resist bragging."

She grinned, looking up at him.

"Maybe it won't be too bad now. You'll have to be extra careful now, and maybe people will like you more for it?"
