Who: Kiyoshi and Kiriko
What: Getting lost in the woods
Where: THEY DON'T KNOW ;_;
When: School trip, the hike
Why: Because Kiyoshi has no sense of direction


The school hike had, on paper, seemed like a wonderful idea to Kiyoshi. Each class would split up into randomly-assigned pairs, ensuring that nobody was left out (which was of course a great selling point from his perspective), and the pairs would wander around from lunchtime to dinnertime at their own pace, enjoying the nature trails and taking in the scenic natural beauty of the area. Being paired with Kiriko had seemed like a stroke of luck, considering that she seemed like she'd be more or less willing to ignore him for the duration of the hike.

The reality of the class hike was decidedly less pleasant. It was hot, it was sticky, the long grass was making his legs itch, and, while he'd decided early on that he was not going to whine and complain no matter what happened, he was pretty sure that they'd lost the trail about two hours ago. But the fact that he'd managed to drop their map into the river they'd crossed about fifteen minutes into the trip probably had something to do with that, so he decided that it would be prudent not to mention it if at all possible.
